So are we hearing Allen is not going to be available? Now that I think about it I'm not sure why I allowed myself to think we'd get Allen back for this game. Should've known better.

I thought I read somewhere that the Rams had indicated a desire to hold Allen out until after the bye.

Something seemed odd with Edward’s when he went out. He feel down and pretty much landed on his butt/side. He didn’t hit his head and didn’t get hit in the dead by anyone. Yet when he landed, he immediately grabbed his head. I’m worried about him. I wouldn’t be surprised if this were something that lasted several weeks or even throughout the season. It didn’t seem like the usual get hit in the head with a knee or head to ground. More like he was already dealing with continuing issues from the head problem last week.

Clearly Edwards was brought back too quickly. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to recover from a concussion, not 1 or 2. And the problem with coming back early is the increased risk of re-injury. Just ask Tua.

We should have known better.

Sometimes it may take that long.....sometimes not.
Concussions are like anything else....a lot of variability.
In Edwards case you are probably right.....given the fact he was re injured on a routine looking play.
Because he finished the game he was supposedly injured and then reported feeling "foggy" a couple of days later begs questions....was he actually injured in the game or during practice. Time of injury matters of course.
I wonder what exactly their protocol is.
Anyway, he will have time to heal up now and will be back to giving up sacks in no time.

Moving away from Kolone however.
That is probably a good move. Kolone was forced into a situation that is less than ideal and his performance varied from not too bad to bad.....but, he is a young player getting his first taste of real NFL action.
Getting the vet in there makes sense, for adjusting protections more than anything.
I would like to see Aboushi get a chance at that LG job as well.

The Rams traded-down from 45-to-50 in the 2012 Draft and added a fifth round pick instead of selecting Bobby Wagner (went #47 to Seattle).

The Rams drafted Isaiah Pead at #50 … and … with that fifth round selection they took … Drum-roll please … Rokevious Watkins!

LG..Aboushi
C....Skura
RG...Jackson
RT...Havenstein.

No Bobby Evans please.
