Edwards looked real good vs Atlanta. Let's see how he holds up in a few weeks when we start facing some tough fronts.

Hey if he turns out looking more like a 2nd rounder than the backup material some projected than I will be ecstatic!

I rewatched the game and I feel Edwards had some positive play. He is a big dude and you can see that when you really watch.

Blythe struggled the most in my opinion but at the same time he is a guy you can tell Mcvay/Kromer and Allen rely on due to his smarts. There were multiple times in this game that he was communicating to Goff that the play clock was running down.

Havenstein had a much better game. There were a few times it looked like he was quicker than the snap. . .

Mcvay also went back to more of the being in Goff's headset before the 15 second mark.

Rehab, Rehydrate, and move on to the Bengals in London.

I am not an OL guru, but I was watching Edwards. I was surprised how big he looked...massive human being. I also saw him engage well at the LOS. I also saw him engage well at the second level. He looked real solid on his feet. Really encouraged.

I'm gonna review the entire Oline in the next day or so. Don't want to make any snap judgements until I can slow the film down and review each offensive play and each lineman. We were playing maybe the worst front in the NFL but regardless Edwards stood up well vs his man in front of him and his ability to move people and engage with his hands looks real good. I'm excited to review the film. We may have a big piece of the puzzle figured out. Along with Ramsey and the man coverage development.

It does seem like Blythe's ability to move in the run game has been hindered by the ankle injury and I hope that there's a bump up in his play after the bye gives him some more rest.

Goff still got hit way too much today considering we were going up against a defense that has 5 sacks on the season.

Blythe can walk after this season IMO. He got handled in the Superbowl and not much has changed since. He seems to make way too many mental errors.

Yeah I'm gonna wait too of course, until I can watch the coach film and get a good look at him. He didn't have a perfect game but I noticed him doing some impressive things that demonstrate he is a very smart player. Saw some smooth handoffs of defenders, nice on some pulls, and most importantly consistent in pass pro with his assignment.

I am really looking forward to him settling in next to Whit and I have to think the upside for the left side in the run game is superb, and that is what is different now going forward. Gonna be a lot of Hendy left in the future.

Here is some quotes from our bet without seeing Demby, Blythe, or Edwards in ps, OTA’s, TC.

The writing was on the wall for Blythe for sure.

I was thinking Edwards was for sure going to be a starter, not really just blythes spot. But I guess I didn’t really specifically say that either.

:giggle:

Well, then. I've never been so glad to be wrong. How do I pay you money again? :D

I knew Edwards was gonna be good, but he was even better than I'd hoped for a rookie making a midseason start.

That's maybe as big a deal as Ramsey's play and how it affected both the D and even how the D was called by Wade.

Put simply, many of those play action passes where the Atlanta D tried to overload the left side fail if Edwards played like Demby...
