This isn't directed toward you - but this comment made me wonder.
If Goff had Wentz' supporting cast this year (and, more specifically, the injuries that the Eagles have had), if Rams fans would echo that Goff was a bust?
Last year Goff and Wentz were very comparable, in 2018 Goff was much better, in 2017 Wentz was better (prior to the injury). Their careers have been pretty similar until this year, but again, the Eagles supporting cast...

They havent had comparable years, ever.
Because Wentz has been a let down, every year. The Eagles have played in 6 playoff games since Wentz came on board, and he's only thrown 4 passes
They cant rely on him to stay healthy, and now they cant trust him to not turn over the ball.
Wentz isn't a bust because of his supporting cast - and yes, I admit that his supporting cast has sucked this year, since they're injured. But Wentz's accuracy issues, his injury problems, and the disconnect between him and the coach who drafted him, the disconnect that basically started last year him and his players (when he still had his offensive line healthy, when he still had receivers, when the defense wasn't decimated) has been clear.
His teammates do not believe in Wentz. I don't know if they thought that not signing Foles was a mistake (and it would've been normally), but Wentz has apparently not worked on his game since his injury, has not adapted to becoming a pocket passer.
Goff, on the other hand, has never really been injured, has worked hard at his craft, and while he's wildly inconsistent and really needs to learn to play another down instead of trying to force things, you know that his teammates are all behind him.
The stats are similar, the situation could've been the same way, but you can tell that Goff and Wentz are different players, different people.
I don't know about that but it wouldn't surprise me. I do remember some ex-Eagles saying how "it's all about him" or something to that affect. He had some guys come to his defense but not the numbers we might expect.

That puts him in a win-win situation. If Hurts comes in a plays lights out, Pederson looks good. If he doesn't and Wentz comes back in to save the day it's, "see he just needed a spark". What I don't get is Wentz seems to be associated with that Superbowl win when reality is like you said, 4 attempts in the postseason......... . Hell, if it weren't for Foles going 3-0 down the stretch in 2018, they don't make it back to the postseason. And if it weren't for that cupcake schedule the final 4 weeks last year, Wentz doesn't get those 4 postseason attempts. The guy has skills but there's gotta be something else wrong with him. Maybe TXRam86 hit the nail on the head.
Can anyone remember when a starter has been benched for anything but an injury and then later came back to being the full time starter? There might be one, but I can't remember it, if so. Or at least working out over the long run...

Talking to my Eagles fan friends, they would like nothing more than a clean break from Wentz, but they just don't believe it's possible. Wentz's remaining salary plus his insane accelerated cap hit make trading/cutting him a negative for everyone involved.
One slight possibility is the Eagles paying the Colts a 2nd to take him. I think it still requires the Eagles to completely write off 2021, and Wentz to adjust his contact to accommodate the Colts.
But they always sucked with him...Did he have any other option except stealing crab legs for a living?

He Wentz so long with his starter to the point that it Hurts his team. Like getting kicked in the groin until your Zach Ertz.
Maybe the Goff vs Wentz debate can be put to rest now. Wentz had one good season in 2017 got hurt and he hasn't really been the same since. He deserves the credit for more or less getting them into the post season but from that point on Foles was the reason they win it all.
I think Wentz will get one more opportunity to be the starter on a different team but after he fizzles out with the new team he will become a journey man and a back up until the league eventually gives up on him completely. Just a guess but I look for Wentz to be out of the league by 2025.

How have they not had comparable years? Prior to this season there's a legitimate case to be made that Wentz was having the better career.
Wentz himself has never won a playoff game, but he was a huge reason why they came into LA and beat us in 2017 which is ultimately why they got home field and won the Super Bowl. We can take that away from Wentz, but I doubt they get home field without his MVP level season, and without that they don't win the Super Bowl IMO.
I'd much rather have Goff, but I would love more fans to be, well, not hypocritical. Wentz is struggling but his supporting cast has been absolute garbage. I'm fine putting that on the QB because of how much they get paid, but when you do that on this board it doesn't go well.
He definitely was not a let down the year they won the Super Bowl - his injury happened, sure, but it was his play prior to that that helped get them to 13-3.
There's a lot of thing wrong with that team, not just the QB.
Personally I'd get rid of all the old players, the Alshon Jefferys and Jason Peters of the world, and go young everywhere possible.

I hope I'm not one of those hypocritical ones? I'm not saying Goff would be any better without the supporting cast. I'm talking about very real flaws of Wentz.
Wentz has had two major injuries - once in his rookie year (to his forearm, if I'm not mistaken); the next in his MVP caliber season. His team flat out doesn't believe in him. He has serious accuracy issues that have been there since he got injured. He is a poor pocket passer, and without his previous mobility, he's a sitting duck with scattershot accuracy. He has flat-out refused anything that could help him.
Goff has not been badly injured in any game in his NFL career, and while he has his own major flaws, he at least looks like he can overcome them. Goff needs to learn to live another down, his poise against pressure needs work, he needs to learn how to navigate the pocket, and he cannot turn the ball over.
But Goff has the necessary tools to succeed: an arm that is accurate and strong, a resistance to injury, an even-keeled demeanor that goes to the next play, the confidence of his teammates and coach, and the drive to get better (i.e., admitting he has flaws, unlike Wentz.)
That's why the Goff/Wentz debate should be over. Wentz is a disappointment at best; a bust at worst. Goff...well, it remains to be seen, but he at least has the potential to be elite, but a floor of being a good enough quarterback to win with.
