Bad call? NO. Bad move to take a guy down by his helmet. It's the same as a face mask to take a guy down like that. It doesn't matter. Facemask, the part of the helmet above it, or anywhere else.

b) No player shall grasp and then twist, turn or pull the face mask, chin strap or any helmet opening of an opponent.

Please enough les your not the nfl rule book curator. I will stop complaining when the refs call a game that is down the line fair. I see way to many "judgment calls" the kind that NEVER get called ever except when it's convent to said ref. Peter hand was not in the helmet it was in his neck
