Yeah definitely Miami. Buffalo would be interesting too, and they might be smart to keep him out of Miami.

I have to think "at least two teams" indicates we're out of the running. Wonder who the top two are.
I’m not saying we are in, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I never thought we were in on OBJ….until it happened.

The only thing predictable about Snead, is his unpredictability.

Problem is Akers has never done close to that thru a whole season.
Well let’s see.
Akers was drafted in 2020.
His first season he rushed 625 yards and had 123 yards in receptions in week 14 he rushed for 171 yards against the Patriots and was named NFC offensive player of the week. He rushed for 131 against the Seahawks in the Wild Card round and then rushed for 90 yards in the divisional round vs Green Bay

In 2021 he tore his Achilles in an offseason workout but returned for the playoffs and saw limited action in the playoffs and the Super Bowl win.

In 2022 he requested a trade in week 5 and didn’t play at all in weeks 6,7, and 8. He finished the season with 3 consecutive 100+ yards rushing and finished with 786 yards rushing and 117 yards receiving. Cam Akers led ALL NFL backs in rushing over the last 5 games of the season.

His resume is still brief. But to diminish his ability because” he has never done close to that “ is somewhat LAZY and lacking.

Rams will not be trading for Taylor. I doubt anyone will at Indy’s price. He is a workhorse. Well he was a workhorse. Unfortunately he is breaking down from use and wanting a huge contract. That’s not a good thing. Rams are just barely getting free of what they owed Gurley. Not exactly a time to make the same mistake. Running backs are replaceable.

I'm sure we want him, he's a quality back. But the timing doesn't seem to be right for us. He'll have the most value for a team that has a lot of pieces and now you have him coming out of that backfield. Buffalo in particular might be terrifying.

He would make Miami an interesting team as well.

He would be devastating in Buffalo, though.

So stating the fact that Akers hasn't proven to be reliable nor broken 1000 yards in 3 seasons is lazy? :laugh4: ....it isnt lazy its a cold hard fact. What you are talking about is potential that has yet to develop in terms of actual star production. Your evidence is a 5 game stretch which tells me he had 5 great games and thats it. Jonathan Taylor IS a workhorse that had a shitty year last year yet he still out did Akers. Taylor is a far superior back and nothing backs up the notion that isnt the case. We put Cam on the market, crickets, Taylor is garnering interest. Tells you what most teams think if you ask me. I'm not sure if you seem to think I'm all in for Taylor when I've said multiple times, only if the compensation isn't a huge ask. You state Gurley, then say RBs are replaceable. So who has replaced Gurley?
