Jourdan hits this on 11 personnel. Basically, Rams doing due diligence on Taylor. Nothing more. Basically, checking in on what the asking price is and what the situation is which is the price of admission for being a good team in the NFL. You always call about a good player becoming available to just find out, doesn't mean you're gonna do anything about it or that the price is something they're interested in paying (both in picks and/or contract).

Also, they love Akers and Williams.

Cam sure acted like a baby in cold bath water last season. Even if he has this magical season that some think is coming, do you think he will be in the Rams future plans??
Well, I do if the price is right.

Personally, I think the Rams running game this season will be just fine (I think both the RB’s and the OL will be much better than a lot of people’s expectations!!)! Don’t get me wrong I would be all for the Rams getting Taylor IF the Colts gave them an offer they couldn’t refuse BUT I don’t see that happening!!

If the colts gave them an offer? What do you think is happening?

An offer too good the Rams can’t refuse?? I don’t think the Colts will accept any of the Rams offers! But, I am usually wrong so it should be interesting!

Akers in his last 7 games (starts) 112 carries, 549 yards (4.9 YPC) 6 TD
We see that production over 16-17 games, we’re looking at 1,200-1,300 rushing yards
That works for me
Problem is Akers has never done close to that thru a whole season.

I dunno if the talking heads focusing on Miami is just talking or if they have something

It was my understanding that the team didn't plan on paying big money at the position anymore.
So why trade for someone looking to get paid?

I meant the yardarge production :laugh1:
Id like to say there’s a correlation between the 2, but in reality I just misunderstood your point.
Id like to take our chances with Akers. He had good a production at FSU with no help. And his production last year in 2nd half with a make shift line was pretty impressive.

All good, but I'm at the point where all we hear is this will be the year Cam breaks out, but something always derails it. If he's our starting RB which is very highly likely, I personally hope he stays healthy.

He "fits" any team's roster on the field, however he doesn't fit within our newfound "cap discipline" approach to roster construction. Cant believe I typed that shit with a straight face.
