I can see the argument of keeping him if the best offer is a 3rd rounder. Brett Hundley isn’t anything special, so why not have Rosen back up?
If they are drafting Murray they’ve got to trade Rosen before making that 1st pick. His value has to drop like a stone once that card is played

I don’t agree !! Teams that miss out onbabQB might be willing to trade for a Rosen ? Draft day teams have a better idea of where they stand. A talented QB in the NFL is hard to find. I’m not sure how good Rosen is , but for some reason I think he is talented & will have an extra year attached to his contract. So four year on a deal if need be with an out after 3 ??

Will see if the Raiders might even go after Murray? Carr & Gruden didn’t look like a good match last season. Carr seemed to get more comfortable as the seasyplayed in though.

Should be a fun seat. Just another piece that could puzzle in ?

It’s not a 4 year deal with an out after 3.
The team has to pick up that “4th year” after year 2

So when did The Rams pick up Goff’s 5th ?

Btw - just read on the board(posted) Goff has 23 months left till his rookie deal is done. Was wondering about his contract.

They have until May 5th to pick up his 5th year option or he’s a UFA after this season
Reports yesterday indicated the Rams will pick it up but it’s not official yet

Yeah — pretty a no brainer !! Thanks for info.

That’s my point though. Arizona or any team they trade Rosen to should know by then what his true value is.

Did Rosen come out his jr year ?? Either way I think his has a lot of upside & will be in the NFL for awhile. My biggest knock on him is if he could take a hit. He proved that.

It took Goff over a year to become the QB he has. Still wonder if Fisher would have royally messed Goff up for years to come if The Rams son’t Eat that 2 year extension Kevin Demoff gave him. Thank you ED29 for calling Fisher & The Rams organization out.
Snead probably would have been a goner as well.

Any team trading for him needs to decide after 2 seasons (with them) whether he's worth the 4th season (with them)
If he goes some where and plays right away it could be enough time to make that decision, but it will be tight, almost like a second rookie season with new players, coaches, location, team etc...
Point was his value as a trade commodity, I don't see where his value increases if the Cards take Murray and he hadn't been traded yet. On the contrary, in that scenario his value would certainly decline. I suppose a 2nd round pick could still be on the table between day 1 and 2 of the draft if Murray is the pick.
Just my opinion of course but I think teams that are ready for a new QB will draft one, and Rosen's best market is in teams who are looking for a more longer term replacement (Like San Diego, New England etc)

The Giants come to mind as well.
During draft day just before the draft some team decides to trade. If day come draft day if there is a team in need, you never know ? If gives Arizona time to here best offers.
