Here's a link to an interview with DJax shortly after he was signed.

Didn't watch the whole thing. At the 8:30 mark though, DJax talks about how great it was to work with McVay in WSH, and how McVay "knew how to utilize him" and how he got targets on not just the deep routes but also the intermnediate routes and screen passes. Clearly, DJax was excited to join the Rams because he felt like he would be targeted way more than he has.

Honestly I'm hoping we can repair things with DJax. Despite his diva attitude, I'm sure he just wants playing time due to how his contract is built. He stands to make or lose a bunch of money on his contract if he doesn't play much. The scare of Jefferson getting hurt and Tutu going down (though he literally had zero impact) makes me think we should have a solid vet behind our top 3. Also, honestly, he still has juice and can get open deep. I'm sort of surprised we haven't used him more already. Rather then cutting him or trading him for a 7th, I'd rather we kept him and retained him as a weapon for our SB run. Who knows, he could be the difference in the playoffs.

Sounds to me like he's out.
I think he crossed some lines with McVay and the org in the way he went about this, to be honest.
Contrast what's going on with what the conversations were about how Woods went about asking how he could contribute more to the team early in the season. What we've heard about DJax is he just wants more touches.

He's out, imo.

Do we care where he goes? The deadline is looming and there’s much speculation. Some of the teams mentioned like GB for instance have to be on the rams radar as far as playoff opponents. How shitty would it be to have Jackson torching the rams in the nfc championship game.

Yes, I'd rather keep him on the bench or inactive then put him on a NFC contender and have him come back to bite us.

Doesn't sound like the Rams out of nowhere decided to get rid of him. Sounds more like he had a bitch fit and crossed the lien.

I'm guessing that Raiders have to at least explore the idea of trading for DeSean. He'd probably cost almost nothing, and they have the cap room.

I posted this on another thread:

I agree with much of the anger and frustration over Jackson, but I wish he could remain on the Team.

I expect he will be gone in the coming hours ... probably by release. Just hope it does not hurt the Rams.

Jackson still has speed and big-play-ability. Even in limited snaps, it was evident. The TD vs Tampa; plus the short cross against the Bucs where he easily pulled-away from the CB for another 25 yards. The deep-pass against the Seahawks where Jackson came-back for the under-thrown, and then ran across the field for another 20 yards ... huge play in that game. Also had a couple long almost-TDs early in the season ... on one Stafford's arm was hit; and the other was an under-throw.

The Rams' offense may not "need" Jackson if everyone stays healthy but the season is a battle-of-attrition.

Jefferson can step-up if Kupp or Woods go-down but then who's the #3? I liked what Skowronek did on Sunday but it's expecting a lot for there to not be a significant drop-off if any of the top-three-WRs (Kupp, Woods or Jefferson) go down.

If the Rams wind-up releasing Jackson, I don't think there's cap-relief; and he will sign elsewhere. What if it's with one of the Rams' primary NFC-competitors? I don't want to see Aaron Rodgers throwing to DeSean Jackson in the Playoffs.

I am thinking the timing is tough, with just a short-time before the trade-deadline.

Even though the Raiders' organization has probably been aware for hours, this is very fresh and raw as a life was lost.

Don't know that the Raiders could ... or should ... try to move that quickly.

If we just release him the Cards or Niners or other rivals could potentially pick him up. Prefer not to see that happen.
That would be awesome he can go fuck up their locker room.

Think Les can get a 3rd and a 4th round pick for him?

Looks like we didn't trade DJax before the trade deadline so we are either working it out with him or intend to cut him. I can't see cutting him as being a improvement on a SB contending team though. He could be VERY vital for us at some point.

He obviously said something or did something that didn’t sit well with the team. They could just tell him to go sit at home and be a little bitch the rest of the year.

They don’t need a shitty attitude from a guy they don’t need in the locker room.

Maybe Donald will dump his scrawny butt in the trash can or lock him in his own locker for a while.
