Serious question now though, one injury at WR and we're not in the best shape. Although we've seen Stafford play well with a lot less.

I wonder if Ben Skro will start to see more snaps or Jacob Harris. Losing Tutu and DJax in a couple of days feels a little weird.

So If he gets signed the Rams don’t get wrapped with dead cap?

And….so the Raiders preferred to gamble but could still lose out if a lower ranked team claims him? I think he would have been had for cheap from the Rams.
His base salary was guaranteed but the prick couldn't handle being the 4th WR on a SB contender so he asked to be waived. If somebody claims him they assume the rest of his contract and pay the remaining salary. If he clears waivers the Rams are on the hook for the rest. If there was offset language put in the contract what he signs for may possibly be able to be deducted from what the Rams owe him but I don't know if that's in there.

He should go to Kansas City and share a room with Tyrann Mathieu. A match made in heaven.

That's the frustrating part of DJax doing this.

"Willing to stay" - In other words, we did him a favor and tried not to make him look as bad (to the fans, and to future teams).

In McV's presser he was asked about that and said they would look into it either via practice squad or outside help. Then mentioned Sko & Harris as guys he feels have stepped up.

Can’t be.

Here are the rules as they apply to vested veterans.

Seems like there's genuine confusion here. WaPo and ESPN also saying he's going to waiver wire. Many reporting that Rams hoping he gets picked up on waiver wire so they don't have to pay out remaining contract. Anyone got more insight?

Once the trade deadline occurs even vets are subject to waivers. It's why the Rams waived him now and not yesterday.

Correct it's a final dick move since he played this game. Now he can go to one of the worst teams in the league if they want the little nazi.

If there's no salary benefit, I don't understand this move. And I'm kind of concerned that he takes his knowledge of our system (maybe even the playbook) to a division foe or another playoff team we may up against. I hope the Falcons or someone grabs him

There is a salary benefit plus it's what the player forced. McVay clearly wasn't going to play games with him after him showing he's about himself and not the team. Guy had a chance to catch a couple dozen passes and some nice touchdowns and now he'll be a Lion, Texan, Eagle or the rest of the bottom of the current draft standings.
