I think Shanahan and the league figured out Mc Vay’s predictability on offense and they have their personnel play the basic defense to take the middle of the field and forces McVay to earn every inches of the field. Rams don’t have the beef on OL and the horses on offense and beef on the defense to stop the run. The Niners are only play 3/4 of their squad and are not completely healthy. What happens if Bosa and the rest of the Niners are fully healthy? The score might be a complete blowout by the Niners.

You did see the Rams butcher 2 certain tds and another bomb inside the whiners 10 yard line? The whiners didn't figure out anything. They're just a bunch of Fuckwits. The biggest turds in the planet. Led by a rat. And have a vagina as a qb.

Venting =/= abandoning your team after one game. But to each their own i guess

nah man, its venting the emotions of this one game. I’m pissed they embarrassed us like this tonight, but bet your house I’ll be there next week. Thats the same with everyone in this thread

When things go south with this team it’s just some fundamental execution usually.
A mixed extra point.
Burning time outs.
Defensive call is good, defenders read it well, in position.....missed tackles.

I kept thinking late in the game when it was 24-16 with 2:30 to go.....
How different is this game with the made extra point and even a FG on that possession where we had 2nd and goal from the 2 and cams away with no points.
24-20 with three timeouts?
Totally different thing.
Next two weeks will show a lot.
I can see a 6-2 first half record.
I can also see a 4-4 first half record.

sloman doesn't miss an extra point and kupp doesn''t drop an easy TD and were in OT

Same shit as last year can't make critical mistakes.

The moment the graphic came up on the screen that we had run it 12 times in a row to get us to the 1 was the moment I knew a pass and interception was coming. The stars were aligning all evening for shitty things to happen that game - it almost felt fitting. And that’s exactly what happened because McVay thinks he’s smarter than...himself?..and goes away from what got him there in the first place. Just completely inexplicable. THAT’S the fuckin’ play you put Malcolm Brown in and punch it up the gut.

This is just one example of how we lost this game due to coaching. Like I had said earlier, plenty to go around but shit like this just infuriates me because it makes NO sense.

Besides that Kupp dropped a sure TD - I'm sorry I just can't stand the bitching about McVay.... he isn't perfect but he took an offense that had been inept for over a decade and in ONE FUCKING YEAR made it into a top 5 offense. I don't think McVays gameplan was on point, but even so with a little better execution on easy plays we are in OT.

I lost count of the times i saw the run play develop and thought this will only be a short gain. Then it turned into 8 yards, 10 yards.

Surely mostert isn't that good.

.

Yeah they must have a better strength and conditioning program...

That first drive SF just put a machete in our defenses guts and ripped our chest open-wayy too easy. How can you let Samuel get up and run 40 yards-make sure that Fucker’s down!!! Then on the zero blitz when Kittle scored the TD-why wasn't Ramsey on Kittle there?? The size and speed mismatch against Williams was so obvious my 70 year old dad who barely knows football noticed how much faster and bigger the white guy was. On the 3rd and goal and 4th and goal-I cant fucking believe McVay doesnt just give it to Brown up the gut both times?!? What a pussy ass series of plays then Goff throws a lollipoop INT to cap it off. Uhhh. When the Niners downed the punt on the 1-inch line I knew we lost. Combo of bad luck, bad play calling and poor execution. Fuck the Niners

What is it about playing on Sunday night that brings out the worst in us? I know the Whiners wanted it more than us but that's on McVay for not getting the boys ready. He has to crack the whip and instill a sense of urgency....especially for DIVISION GAMES!!!

A lot of ya'll are blaming stale Staley for his stale game plans and soft zones and all but that also has to be on McVay. It's his job to get in our new DC's grill and TELL him that this soft, pussy style of play is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

And, finally, someone remind me just why Coach Bones was let go again. STs weren't great last year but that was just about the only time we weren't at least in the top ten in the Bones era. IMO, he deserved another year to get it turned around. I get the sinking feeling that STs ain't gonna make a play all year and may just cost us a game or two.

Finally, I hate the Whiners.....I hate their friggin' lousy city and their politics as well as most of Northern California to boot. I do rejoice that they literally have poop all over the sidewalks and while I feel that is most appropriate for that Hellhole it doesn't make up for the sinking dark feeling of a loss to the Whiners.

I'm not even mad tbh. We got physically road graded. And Shanny and his merry band of fuckheads outschemed McVay's boys.

Bright side here is the whiners aren't gonna do shit this year. They're just fuckin up their draft slot. Rams got served some humble pie and that can help. I just wish it wasn't so close to the recent Bills loss.

Only thing that irks me is we couldn't rip up that secondary when the OL pass protected at a very high level. Fuckin BS. But onward and upward I hope.

You can always tell with Goff's first pass if he's going to be off in a game. It took him a quarter or more to get his mechanics right. I'm glad he was able to correct it this time.

Horrible game. Out of rhythm the whole game.. But we'll bounce back next week. McVay is the best coach in the NFL. All teams have horrible games. Look at GB today. And their coach wasn't Sid Gilman out there. McVay will have this team ready next week. You better believe it. Go Rams.

Yeah they must have a better strength and conditioning program...

not just that. the defenders just take bad angles. he would change directions and they would fall over themselves.

these are professionals man. don't over-pursuit. when you're running from the inside you put yourself in a position to make the tackle whichever way the runner decides to go. would they rather the runner makes an extra yard or two or would they rather see him run for 10 yards. when they find themselves in that position they can't think run downhill to blow up the play anymore, they have to think contain the rb and don't let him make more yards than the play deserves.

Their secondary was healthy. Mosely and Verrett are starters. Ward was in too. The guy Miami beat like a drum was not on the field.

I think one truth we need to face is that we're still a finesse team. So as brilliant as McVay is all the overly cautious screen game calls and razzle-dazzle to the outside does is make it worse when we're in that type of situation. Especially when the pass pro looks good.

The sched has some physical fronts on it man. So IMO he's gonna need to put more trust in Goff and these wideouts are gonna need to win us some games.

Fred Warner was playing out of his mind. They should drug test him for roids or DNA test him because he might be Superman's relative. He swarmed across the field reading plays as if his life depended on it. Bravo to him.

Can't add anything much that hasn't been written already.

On a plus side, if anything, this offensive line has surprised me.
Goff has time and the runnjng game is there.
The D gave us opportunites to pull the game back.

We beat them at our place.

What a miserable game to watch from start to finish.

First five games were great, but tonight just sucked.

I was convinced we were gonna blow out the decimated 49ers, and maybe the Rams players were, too.

“Any given Sunday.” Maybe after watching football for forty years I should finally figure that out.
