But no seriously, they can offer Goff and I think he brings the value of a late first or a couple of seconds. That would take care of the dead money too. 57 overall would put us at 3 seconds, 2022, 23, 24 firsts. So that equals 3 firsts and 3 seconds OR 4 firsts and 2 seconds depending on how you feel about Goff.

Madden ... Yes

Reality ... No

However, we are talking the Houston Texans Front Office. They may be making their decisions off of Madden.

HAHAHA . yeah idk. We'll see. Watson does have a say though. Let's hope he doesn't want to go to Miami or Jets

Here's my, "Momma, I'm coming Home!!" theory.... (sorta...)
Patriots send a 1st rounder to Falcons for Matt Ryan, bringing the local College Hero back to his old stomping grounds
Falcons then send their #4 overall pick, 2nd round pick #35 overall, 2022 1st round pick to Houston for Gainesville Georgia native Deshaun Watson

And Kurt Warner comes out of retirement to lead the Rams to another super bowl victory?

May need add in a decent starter too, like Deion Jones.

Unlike a lot of what I read on threads this time of year, this is in the ballpark because it considers the wants/needs of teams from both sides.

Guessing Atlanta would need another piece for it to work for Houston. Also guessing Watson would push back.

If your Watson do you want to go to a loser that just unloaded all its picks for the next few years and be a bottom team for 4 more years or a team like the Niners or Rams?
Miami is actually turning it around.
It's not the horrible destination it was 3 years ago.
But I get ya.
Rams and Whiners are better options for a QB that wants to win now.

Miami is a great spot, they are loaded with draft picks and have a rising star HC in Flores

They would have to give up a lot of those picks though.
Of course, whoever gets him will be paying a steep price. Miami is a 10-6 team with the necessary picks to trade. Better to go there than a 2-14 team who has to spend the same if not more

I seem to be in the minority to suggest I’d rather keep Goff and roll with our annual improvements than add Watson and deal with what we’d have to give up (even the most Ram-friendly version).
Yes you are. So am I.

I don't see Belichek sending a first rounder for an above average 36 year old QB.

As for this thread in general, the only way we are getting Watson is if he views the Rams as his only choice and he no trade clause-hardballs the Texans into taking less from us than they would from other teams and they cave. I don't see that happening but you never know. Otherwise, we just don't have the draft or (reasonable) player capital to compete with a LOT of other teams.
