If a prosecutor couldn't get an indictment with 20 women. Then there was nothing there to begin with.
That's the only way that happens.
Not difficult to get 20 people with previous contact with a world famous athlete to sign up for a money grab.
There may have been evidence that several plaintiffs who were hiding behind the "massage therapy" title
but whose jobs were leaning more toward the worlds oldest profession.
It's one of the most common veils for the profession.
Not saying these are facts, but for a prosecutor to not convince a jury with 20 plaintiffs to work with??? something was amiss
Yes I agree. How can you prove anything?

All it would take to dismiss is if they could find any other customer who got the happy ending also.

Plus with no evidence collected after said evidence it would be a he said she said.

Let's hope he doesn't end up with the Hags.

Hope he is singing "Carolina in my Mind". It makes a lot of sense for him to get back closer to where he has had great success, family, and friends.

Yes, Watson has a no-trade clause. Odds are, however, he would waive it to join just about any NFL situation that isn't Houston.4 hours ago

Or, the prosecutor didn't try very hard.

I'm not saying it's one or the other, I don't know what the right answer is in this case. But sometimes if a prosecutor doesn't want to prosecute, he can just tank in front of grand jury (this is sometimes referred to as "going Stephen Ross").

It's gonna be difficult for Seattle. Unless BOB is still there, no way do they take Adams. I also don't see Watson agreeing to a trade with DK leaving.

If the Seahawks basically swap a lot of those picks to Houston…

Isn’t the team mostly the same? No defense. No oline. Still got Pete.

How is this better, than with Wilson?

And, lacking their own 1st this year, someone like Philly or Miami could offer more, plus a bridge QB.

That Carolina offer looks bigger than anything SEA could offer, too.

Thanks @Allen2McVay I forgot about Watson’s no trade clause. He controls some of this.

Correct. It was all overstated BS, a shakedown for payoffs.

Doesn't mean Watson is an angel, but that's a high standard. Maybe an impossible standard. Just means he didn't do anything that is a crime. In effect, he can rightly claim some degree of vindication though he will be tagged as a dude who, in effect, paid for favors. I'm sure no one on this board has ever done anything like that.

Can anyone say "Robert Kraft"? or "Jimmy Garopolo?" Those are fair comps.

Schefter doubling down on his stupidity? Ever heard of the phrase "innocent until proven guilty?"

I wouldnt rule out Philly. They've got the picks and Hurts just aint it
Correct. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. And if you are not even indicted, you have nothing even to defend much less to prove.

DESHAUN WATSONQB, HOUSTON TEXANS
Watson

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah reports the “expectation around the league” is the Seahawks will trade for Texans QB Deshaun Watson.

Seattle has been exploring trade scenarios for Watson, with Watson expected to be traded ahead of the new league year now that his legal situation is resolved. The Seahawks have the draft capital for a Watson trade after moving on from Russell Wilson, which landed them two top-40 picks in April's draft. Watson is seven years younger than Wilson and would allow Seattle to contend this season while setting them up for the future. The Panthers and Steelers have also been connected to Watson, who has a full no-trade clause. Watson is still subject to the NFL’s personal conduct policy, but there’s a chance the league waits until his civil cases are resolved before making a decision. Sitting out of 2021 could work in Watson’s favor of returning without a suspension.

Seattle is my guess. Pete is desperate to replace russell just as Pittsburgh is to replace ben, however, due to the context of their breakup instead of a retirement, pete has to be seen as having a plan in letting wilson go. Seattle will outbid the steelers to the extent of over paying because watson is their only shot at relevancy this season and he actually gives them some hope to compete the next few years.

Yeah, he overcompensated for his first statement by going way too far in the other direction in his second.

Never understood the massive love for Watson. I never saw him as a top 5 QB. Maybe I'm wrong. Best of luck

Seattle needs to rebuild badly. They just dumped Wagner without even trying to trade him first. Why would they go for it using those newly acquired and desperately needed picks for Watson? If you trade for Watson- don’t you want to keep Wagner? I think they are tanking and will go after a QB in this or next years draft. I think it’s just the media speculation putting them into the Watson talk.

I agree with your point, although i don't think Wagner's departure it's a clear indication of either a rebuild or a re-load.
He can still play at a high level but $16M is expensive for ILB.

My gut says Watson isn't going to Seattle. Swapping Wilson for Watson seems redundant aside from age.

I think Philly makes more sense. Premium picks to give away in a division that is lacking at QB. I feel like the Eagles have nothing to sell the fanbase in terms of star power either. Hurts is just another guy who runs. Watson is a QB.

IMO, I believe Carolina is the best spot for Watson, an owner with unlimited means, a HC that has a history of always protecting his players plus being that Watson played at Clemson, it would be a homecoming, which will help cushion the negative press.

Now that being posted, I can also see Seattle making a move to get Watson and agree that releasing Wagner maybe doesn't bode well, however, Watson is 7 years younger then Wilson & maybe that was there plan all along thus releasing Wagner for cap reasons.

If he's got a full no-trade clause, I doubt he goes to Philly -- those fans are just brutal. I'd never want to play for them.
