Reports are, fwiw, the Panthers have offered 3 first round picks and a choice of 2 players among Jeremy Chinn, Brian Burns, Jaycee Horn and Derrick Brown.
That might be the Panthers four best young players. Texans would essentially be getting five #1s.

I want him to go anywhere but the NFC West. Please not trade to the Hags. Let them rot for a while. Sounds like Carolina has the most lucrative offer but, lets not forget, Miami was hot and heavy about him before the criminal charges too. Perhaps Texans covet Tua? 3 1st's, Horn, and Burns is a MAJOR haul. Best I'll have seen in a long time.

The Hags will be in the convo since they have picks to trade now. I wouldn't discount them but I hope they don't get him. Gonna be interesting.

Ben Rapinburger didn't get criminally charged and The League still suspended him for 6 games and that was before MeToo. He's gonna be suspended too... my guess is at least what Ben got and probably more.

Miami would have pulled the trigger a long time back but they wanted Watson to settle 20 of the civil cases first. I can't imagine any team pulling the trigger now unless the civil cases are settled either.

My guess is he's in Seadderall playing after he serves his suspension.

Why would he want to go to Seattle or Carolina? Wilson wanted out for a reason.

Exactly.

Not sure that would be Watson’s first choice. But I guess he has no say.

How does that effect his value? Its got to knock it down some. He can’t play right away.

I was listening to a clip of Cowherd this morning and he thinks Carolina is where he'll end up. It might make sense as well. I'm not sure where Watson is from, but he'd be fairly close to where he played his college ball.
He's from Gainesville Georgia but yes went to Clemson.

There were over 20 women so not sure how that could happen.
If a prosecutor couldn't get an indictment with 20 women. Then there was nothing there to begin with.
That's the only way that happens.
Not difficult to get 20 people with previous contact with a world famous athlete to sign up for a money grab.
There may have been evidence that several plaintiffs who were hiding behind the "massage therapy" title
but whose jobs were leaning more toward the worlds oldest profession.
It's one of the most common veils for the profession.
Not saying these are facts, but for a prosecutor to not convince a jury with 20 plaintiffs to work with??? something was amiss

The teams that need a QB will be willing to wait I bet. There's no kickass QBs to be drafted this year anyway.

Was watching Adam Schefter and he said that the NFL will suspend Watson and that wouldn’t require resolution of the civil cases (which I understand as the attys for the women would likely pull every stall tactic in the book to get the most for their clients…as you’d rightly expect any atty to do)

I don’t think even 8 games will phase any team.

He still has his no trade clause and wants to move on really badly, so don’t be shocked if he’s traded within the week

This is such a weird tweet for someone who is supposed to be "reporting" on the situation. There's a whole lot of opinion in this.
Not really? He's reporting that Watson has always wanted police involved and the outcome of the grand jury investigation. The only opinions I see in this tweet are Watson's and the grand jury's.

I don't want to get too far off topic, but echoing Watson's inaccurate statement isn't a great look. Schefter did a better job of explaining the lack of nuance than I can.

DESHAUN WATSONQB, HOUSTON TEXANS
Watson

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah reports the “expectation around the league” is the Seahawks will trade for Texans QB Deshaun Watson.

Seattle has been exploring trade scenarios for Watson, with Watson expected to be traded ahead of the new league year now that his legal situation is resolved. The Seahawks have the draft capital for a Watson trade after moving on from Russell Wilson, which landed them two top-40 picks in April's draft. Watson is seven years younger than Wilson and would allow Seattle to contend this season while setting them up for the future. The Panthers and Steelers have also been connected to Watson, who has a full no-trade clause. Watson is still subject to the NFL’s personal conduct policy, but there’s a chance the league waits until his civil cases are resolved before making a decision. Sitting out of 2021 could work in Watson’s favor of returning without a suspension.
