I'll take Kendrick over Durant every day. Durant just isn't physical at all.
I think I said that already didn’t I?

I think I said “I wish Durant was more physical or Kendrick could cover consistently, but neither will ever come to fruition.”

Kendrick had a tough game, after a long stretch of good play. Frustrating, but not too concerned about it.

Kendrick was moved from field CB to boundary CB to take 'Spoon's place
People want "aggressive" I guess. Press on both of these.

Sure it looks better ... but can he play press? Looks like he can't
do it very well

Kendrick gets beat on a "sluggo" route. When you're cloud or off double moves
don; n't beat you as much.

It's a trade off.

I'm more frustrated by the second play (the first in your post) than the first. On the first, he got beat by a very good WR, but he had decent enough coverage and contested the throw. The second play makes me mad. He's not playing patient, smart football. We're up by two scores. There's no reason to be so aggressive in trying to jam the WR. Be patient, stay in your backpedal, and make him work through you. Don't come to him. The problem with Kendrick as much as anything is that he has zero situational awareness.

Can we deal Kendrick in the offseason for a draft pick and draft two corners to help pair with Durant? Please?

I've been a staunch defender but that second one was very very bad.

I still think he has CB2 potential, just has to learn and be more aware.

Agree. Plenty of CBs get beat and no reason to be too hard on him when we might give others a pass. But---off coverage might be what he needs to play.

Second one ... if the coverage is what I suspect (cannot see the near side) it may have been hard coverage and he was supposed to jam and then you ask why the left safety is so shallow? He gave no help.

So if you going to play hard Cov-2 to the boundary then safety has to get more depth and cap that route...

Back in mid-September, I posted the following:
"For the life of me, I can't figure out what the Rams' coaches see in Derion Kendrick."

I still can't.

So the guy who can't beat out Kendricks right now would be a better cb3? How would Kendricks be right now as our CB3 instead of our CB1?

You may be right that Fuller wasn't where he was supposed to be. Although, Derion was still doing a lot of grabbing regardless of the safety.

Both may be true. With Kendrick it's almost second nature, you're beat...grab

If Kendrick was faster, this thread wouldn’t be a thing. His lack of speed or is it game quickness gets him in trouble. He’s a great athlete and can make some big plays but we need better at the position to think about a Championship run. I think he and we could fair better with him as a backup right now.

The hesitation after the contact, is what upset me the most.

I have no idea why they aren't starting Durant on the boundary. He has the stickiness needed to succeed. He has better long speed than Kendrick. And while yes, he needs more physicality, he at least has the ball skills to compensate.

But yes, I'd have two better corners than either of them.
