Just re-watched Connors' lone kick return.

At first I was going to blame him for having "poor vision", but then I noticed that the play was ruined by TFerg #18. Ferg had a pathetic block attempt (matador "ole"! ) and let his man blow by and make the tackle.

So the jury is still out on Connors as a KR.

BTW-- my vote is that Kyren and Corum make a terrific 1-2 punch, so I don't necessarily vote for Connors being elevated above #3 RB. I just hope he gets a few more chances at KR to see if he has potential.

But after seeing that piss-poor block, I'd suspect that's the main problem. Rams' KR's are consistently getting blown up at the 20 or 25, and I bet the crappy blocking is the main issue.

I just think he has a unique skill set among the RBs.. and is more explosive than Kyren or Rivers.

I could be crazy!

Much like the 13 personnel phenomenon developed as kind of an emergency solution.. is how I look at the idea of experimentation with Connors.

Hence, why I said Benny Skow with more upside....
I watched that Bengals/Steelers game the other day at the local watering hole and I look up to see a Steelers player fly in on a special teams play to knock a Bengal player off the ball and secure the turnover. And then I notice it's none other than Benny Skow.

That's the kind of player we should have on the bottom half of our WR depth chart.

Here’s an idea cut X. Smith and use Connor’s as the returner ffs
I'd like to see us audition Connor in the role first but agree we should be trying other players there.

Next year they need to ensure the bottom two WRs are teams guys who can catch the occasional pass. And the third RB should remain a teams and returns type or a gunner. And so on. The last dude in every position group should be the best special teams option of that position group. And in the big positions with a lot of players, like wideout, keep a couple.

And guys who are more athletic than “skilled” or “refined”… like Nick Scott.

The hype train is about to go off of the rails

Will the Rams ever see a Traditional Fullback again? Rams need to get creative here. We got weapons with perks, just need too see where and how well they fit in certain scenarios.
