Check out the chart in at the start of this video, Stafford literally all by himself, best vs zone, second best (barely) vs man. They don't say it in the video but we can read the charts.

Tons of love for Kupp as well

Not sure what the seaturd guy in the corner is about, but whatever, after about 4 minutes there's no need to watch

This year Stafford has an offense made for him and Kupp is...well Kupp. One of the best route runners I've ever seen.
BTW, don't look now but Kupp is on pace to finish right at (or slightly over) the best single season receiving yardage in history.

Interesting, I wonder how they grade as opposed to PFF.

What stinks is that Kupp has been held back the last couple years. He already could have been regarded as a top three wide receiver in the league.

Can you expand on that thought, just curious cuz the only thing that’s held Kupp back the past couple of years is his late season frailty

Please don’t tell me him and our former QB didn’t have chemistry, thank God our OLine issues were solved, and it was so obvious, Blythe was a turnstile, that was one of 3 problems resolved, the other being QB upgrade and what I had believed was return of the deep threat, don’t get me wrong here apparently DJax had to go, however it now remains to be seen if that comes at a cost

Lack of a long passing game. No offense but it’s obvious

What’s most obvious to me is our OLine is fixed
QB upgrade next in line, I honestly have doubts Stafford could have survived Blythe marginally better than the other guy

We all have our perspective, we’re also 7-1 so there’s no need for squabbling over hypotheticals

Rams single season records that could all be broken this year:

Most passing yards - 4830 K Warner, 2001
Most passing TDs - 41, K Warner 1999
Passer rating - 109.2, K Warner 1999
Receptions - 119 I Bruce 1995
Receiving yards - 1781 I Bruce 1995
Receiving TDs - 17 E Hirsch, 1951

Suddenly we seem to forget the string of slow starts. We've watched aghast as Matthew has struggled to find a rhythm for stretches. But he consistently competes until they work through it. This team has feasted against inferior opponents but will be measured in the postseason.

Stafford has been all we hoped he would be. His stats are nice but his fit within this offense is what makes this so special. Brady took over half a season to mesh w Arians and Stafford started hot and continues to expand and master the scheme.

Well. Thank God we don't have a quarterback like Dan Pastorini, etc. anymore. LOL...the bad old days...lol!

What impressed me most about Kupp is his change of direction skills. He may not win a lot of 100 yard dashes against other receivers but he's gotta have the quickest change of direction I've ever seen. He can make a cut without losing any speed. Then throw in the intelligence. McVay once said Kupp would make a good coach one day.

Veteran QBs past their prime (main team in parentheses) whom the Rams picked up over the years that mostly didn't pan out:

John Hadl (Chargers), 1973: Got the MVP that year and was good until the playoffs. Traded in 1974.
Joe Namath (Jets), 1977: Led Rams to a 2-2 record before warming the bench. Retired after season.
Dan Pastorini (Oilers), 1981: Was crappy on a losing Rams team. Retired after season.
Bert Jones (Colts), 1982: Played decent until a career ending neck injury. Retired after season.
Dieter Brock (Hamiton, Canada), 1985: We know this story too well.
Chris Miller (Falcons), 1994-95: started 23 games but retired re: concussion issues.
Chris Chandler (Falcons), 1994-95, 04: started 8 games in backup role. Injuries: yes. (best season in 1998)
Mark Rypien (Redskins), 1995,97: started 3 games in backup role.
Gus Frerotte (Redskins), 2006-07: started 2 games in backup role.
Nick Foles (Eagles), 2015: started 11 games.

Some had prev won championships, some led teams to playoffs, some were all-pro, a few just had good years with other teams before Rams landed them.

That was kind of a sad post. Hadl was awesome for us at least.
