Best part of Osweiller is the Browns will pay whatever the Bronco's don't pay him. So if the Bronco's sign him for say $4 million the Browns have to make up $12 million of his salary :D

So CJ Spiller is available - I could take a flyer on him in the Dunbar role.

So who is at LAX watching to see which waiver or other free agent is coming in for a physical ? Are TJ Ward & John Greco coming thru the doors yet ?

Dear Lord...the Seacocks cut Boykin, meaning they're going into the season with Austin Davis (No, that isn't a typo) as their backup QB.

So you're saying our safeties deep coverage will only be 20 yards from the line of scrimmage?

@Mojo Ram, continue to keep your hopes high you've come this far over the years.

Dolphins waived QB David Fales.
The former Bears project couldn't convince the Dolphins to keep three quarterbacks. There will be Twitter buzz that Fales could get a look elsewhere, but he's most likely practice squad bound. Sep 2 - 12:54 PM

The Minnesota Vikings met with starting left guard Alex Boone earlier this week and asked him to take a pay cut. When he refused, Boone wound up being cut on Saturday instead, according to a report from Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Boone signed a four-year, $26.8 million deal to join the Vikings just a season ago. The Vikings will now pay $3.4 million in dead money to release him while saving $3.3 million.

Originally an undrafted free agent in the Class of 2009 from Ohio State, Boone signed with the San Francisco 49ers. After spending most of the 2009 and 2010 seasons on the 49ers practice squad, he made his active roster debut in 2010.

In 2011, he emerged as a backup and by the following season he’d earned a starting job. He went on to start 59 games in four seasons with the 49ers from 2012 through 2015 at both guard positions and establishing himself as a capable interior lineman in the process.

That earned him the lucrative contract from the Vikings last offseason. He’d go on to start 14 games for Minnesota in his only year with the club, where he excelled in pass protection but struggled with run blocking according to Eric Eager of Pro Football Focus.

As a vested veteran, Boone will immediately become a free agent once the transaction is processed and will be free to sign with anywhere.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Too bad he is not good at run blocking. How much better is he than Brown?

Among the cuts is the team’s fifth-round compensatory pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, J.J. Dielman, this according to Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Jim Owczarski.
This guy was a good player in college b4 injury....must be a lis franc type of thing.

Austin IS a backup.

Just shows how desperate the NFL is for quality quarterbacks even to develop.

Uh, if they're trying to develop Austin Davis, then their front office is worse than we thought. I don't like Kap, but please tell me he isn't worse than Austin Davis. IMO, Davis ISN'T a backup....he shouldn't be one snap away from game action anywhere in the NFL....
