Lets be honest, the previous two years the OL was just plain better. Better holes for TG, more time and a better pocket for Goff. It's not a coincidence that Goff's numbers, Gurley's #'s and the teams numbers are down. Unless you have Russel Wilson, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson or the like that can escape pressure and make plays out of nothing it's not a surprise what's happening. And when you go 21 down you don't have much choice but to abandon the run for large stretches. Is TG the same? I don't really know. He looked pretty normal to me on his TD run where he carried defenders 5 yards to the end zone. I think there's been way more speculation than actual facts to back it up on his injuries or reports of. Guys like Havenstein, for whatever reason look considerably worse this year. I mean some plays it looks like he's a rookie and couldn't block my grandmother. But, it's early enough they can adjust and find ways to gel together. Hell, even big Whit has been off at times. I for one think we miss Saffold more than we would like to admit.
