With all due respect not gonna bite on that. I will point too believing any rational person could sit down and make a list. And with the chaos that has ensued with the little bit of information that we do have. Which I would have never imagined. I could see where our government might put the brakes on in the interest of keeping the peace. Again just opinion.

Yeah just asking cause you had mentioned it - nothing from what you wrote above gives me any insight into what you might or might not have been referring to. I wasn’t baiting you in anyway, again just curious as to what your thoughts were

I don’t see any coordinated effort to keep people in the dark.

Personally, I think this is a situation that overreacting at this point is the safest bet we have to ensure that in the future we will be better prepared from this experience to know how to properly handle this sorta dilemma.

One thing is for sure - this will spawn a whole host of movies and books and conspiracy theories, reports, you name it, that will turn this event into an industry in and of itself

So out of caution, I'm wiping everything down that may have been touched or handled in our bar/restaurant. Cashed a couple people out in the process :ROFLMAO: oopsie! Oh well. They are being good sports about it and it's a really small inconvenience.

I agree that there is some info we may not be privy to but it's just a hunch.

In the mean time it's a simple thing to do to just use any means at your disposal to take a few extra steps.

If nothing else, I hope the precautions will flatten out the spread and we can more quickly get back to normal. I'm still going to be more of a hardass on regular while downs of gaming equipment, pool cues, handles, etc. Some good can always come out of things like this.

BTW... My parents are both on lockdown in their house. This was something my sister insisted on before Gavin put it into effect and even they agreed with it immediately. Stubbornness does you no good if you're dead.

it's not about the death rate, it's about hospitals filling up with virus victims and not being able to cope with the volume of sick people.

.
I acknowledged the availability of health care and overloading health workers a few posts ago Kurt. Well aware of that.

But the death rate is crucial. There is an enormous difference in just one percent, not only in terms of numbers who will die, but also in terms of how important concerns with overloading the health care system are.

I read that they think the virus can live on surfaces for up to 9 days. If that's true then aren't the USPS, UPS, Fedex basically huge spreaders?

Logistics are still up, but yeah when that comes to a halt the roads will really be empty...

That's true, but from what I've heard the virus would be too weak to infect anything the longer it sticks around. It's still generally considered spread through the droplets and close contact.

Already are here. No school, casinos are limiting operations.... Made for a really easy commute. Not that it's bad normally but now it's a piece of cake.

Actually in the article I read a couple hours ago pertaining that subject, some are thinking it spread on the cruise ships due to surface contact.

I’ll try and find the article

Yeah, it is saving me 5-10 minutes in the morning and 10-15 after work. And they're talking about our entire company telecommuting - I work for an outsourcing company that helps Facebook advertisers get up to speed - which would save me even more time

I’ve been put on a rota at work with the rest of my team (there are only two others). I’m team claret and the other two team blue. We are doing 5 days in the office then 5 working from home. Can’t see it lasting long though as I think London will end up in lockdown and it’ll be work from home for the foreseeable future. Very odd situation this.

In my state (RI) they are no longer allowing dine-in food service for (at least) 2 weeks, most businesses are closing because of it. I got a little free time, just got gamepass.

It’s further down in the article that surface contact may have played a role in cruise ship infections.
