In #50's first game (albeit against inferior opponent)
He lead the team in tackles with 9 (7 solo)
He had a 1/2 sack - 1 TFL - 1 pass defensed.
and an interception.

Many of us watched him in preseason and thought he should be able to break
the starting lineup early. It's a little later in the season, but he has made it.

I know he is going to make some mistakes along the way, but this kid is a high IQ
player who will learn quickly and to Quote a scouting report I read.
"All the kid does is make tackles"

IMHO He will grow into the most complete ILB the Rams have seen in a long while.

For sure he played a great game and he should only continue to get better. Let's pretend he was our 2nd round pick, that makes me feel a little better.

I kept an eye on him. Instincts are very good and his hustle is what makes him achieve.

He's much more of an instinctive football player who can make plays than anyone they've had since Littleton. Very similar in that neither are athletic freaks or particularly powerful.
Jones looked really, really good and should make everyone forget about Young quickly. I liked Young, but they're fine.

Lol.. it's funny because it's true.
I really try to look at draft classes, rather than players and where drafted. It's too easy to get hyper focused on "well they missed on the second rounder.. you can't do that!"
If we look at the entirety.. they have two starters from this year's class already, and that's not bad when you've got no first. It's likely to get better over the next few years with Bobby Brown eventually being a starter.
Garrett has potential and Skowronek looks like a real football player.

Agree 100% except I'm not sure who that player is ,you were talking about at the end of your paragraph.
Name sounds familiar just can't recall who you are talking about.

He just seems like a guy who is mentally locked in. Serious about ball. Serious about the team. And he's pretty good too.

I noticed a little green dot on his helmet too. I don't know if it was mentioned anywhere, I don't think he's taking over for Fuller, but he's the guy if Fuller is out.

Yea we need to evaluate the classes as a whole, but when you never have 1st round picks you have to have more discipline with our 2nd rounders. It was just a sloppy, reach, desperation type pick that was for sure the worst of the McVay era.

On the other hand, Ernest played in the best college conference, has an NFL body, has production, etc. Just polar opposites IMO.

Hmm... did he have it on all game, I wonder if he got it when they pulled starters and Fuller. That's a very good sign.

I'm so glad that E-Jo got to strut his stuff. I had a premonition about him being a JJ3 type: someone who isn't necessarily highly rated who becomes a late third round pick and dominates from the get-go.

I'm so much more comfortable with him than Reeder.

I don't know.
I know Tutu is absolutely not a kick returner.
In preseason, he sure looked like a WR.

Too early to make a complete judgement... but he wasn't a kick returner in college and it doesn't look like he's one in the NFL.

He probably had it all game. Teams are allowed to have multiple players with the dot. Partly because defenses tend to switch personnel, and probably in case of the first person being injured. Either way it is a good sign.
