Not me. I always thought (and posted) that Wentz was at risk of serious injury and a shortened career because of his reckless playing style.Guilty.

What is it about Wentz that brought you to that initial conclusion? There are many QB's that come into the league with that reckless style. Some of them get beatdown, some of them don't...and they all take the hits(except for maybe Wilson when he isn't facing our Rams). Not me. Didn't he have a couple injuries in college too? Too lazy to look. What is it about Wentz that brought you to that initial conclusion? I'm sincerely intrigued by what you saw. I want to learn something.
The magic number of games is 6. If Wentz misses 6 games they keep their first round pick. I think that's important because they're going to make the playoffs so they have to be over 30% missed (5 games puts them at 29%).
Now assume that Wentz is ready to play in say week 3 which is earlier than expected. Do you tell him to chill out and "we're gonna get you fully back before you step on the field" and then make sure he doesn't play until week 7?
Answer probably has to do with standings and how far behind Tennessee they are. But it's interesting.

Yeah I know it's preposterous. But it's fun to think about.i'm sorry but that's preposterous. they're built to win now and wentz is part of that equation. he'll be out there when he's ready and not a game later.
.
Not most, ALLPretty sure most of his championships have actually been won by his backups, I remember him having injury concerns in college, and people were wondering how much of his teams success was actually based on him since his backups would also win.
Wentz seemed determined to throw his body into the mix at every opportunity as if success at the qb position depended on sheer physicality. You may have seen other players like this but I don't think I've ever seen a qb quite so inclined. Especially one who could pass the ball and just didn't need to gain marginal yards by risking his body. Like every play was a trial of strength and all contact was a challenge from which he could never back off.
