Remember that and it was Alshon Jefferey. He and Johnson were buds, Johnson was in his wedding or vice versa. So they were getting on each other... Was a BS penalty that may have been the difference in the game and season as the Rams may have ended up with the 2 seed with a win.

As for Wentz, his history told you it was only a matter of time. And that was one of the reasons the Rams went with Goff.

I remember, I think it was Vinny Bonsignore (sp?). That recalled a conversation he had with Snead. Snead said that their research, talking to people from Wentz's HS/ college, painted a picture of a guy that while he played hard, was also reckless in that he was the kid who would crash into the outfield wall, run into the basketball pole, or dive unnecessarily for an extra yard.

Thus he got banged up a lot and that was a concern. Plus, he simply had a long injury history in a short amount of time dating back to HS.

I'm with @oldnotdead , Jacob Eason could be getting his shot here. As I recall, when Rivers was struggling early last season, it was said that Eason was impressive last year in limited TC. Rivers wasnt in danger of losing his gig, but they seemed to be pretty high on JE. He lost his spot to Fromm in college, maybe this will be his shot to make hay

I don't root for Wentz the person to fail. Not at all.

But I absolutely do root for Wentz the QB prospect to fail.

Why? Because I was a Goff over Wentz guy half a decade ago and so I need him to fail so that I can pat myself on the back and say "I am King Shit of Turd Mountain!!!"

I have no idea what the specific injury happens to be, so I can't say he should buck up and play. But.......

If you're a young player, first or second round pick, who's established as a starter, I could see taking some caution with injuries. However there are those (Stafford, Goff, etc) who, no matter what the situation, they find a way to play. I'd think, in Wentz's case, he's an established starter with a reputation as an injury prone player, so he ought to buck it up through the injury. But I guess that's the difference between "injury prone" and "tough". Some guys have to have a broken leg (except for Youngblood) to miss time. Others get a hangnail and they're in the trainers room.

Does Cam Akers play into that .2 years & both he is hurt at the start.He also was hurt during, but played through the Playoffs hurt.He is out all of 2021.

Neither of them were drafted as high as Akers, nor were they going to figure into the Rams plans as much as Akers in 2021. Lewis more than Obo though.

That’s how I am wired too.

Don’t get me wrong... in the moment of competition I can be very self confident and talk some shit. Maybe even embarrass myself.

But I can’t root for bad things on people. I think that carries over in ways I can be happy for others.

Well there is one player that I want bad things to happen to but that is only because he cheated.

And to add to that, if the player is an asshole, I won't feel too bad if something bad does happen to him. Sorry I just hate assholes.
