Chubb is a monster. D'Ernest Johnson had 500+ yards and averaged 5+ YPC last year when he stepped in for an injured Hunt and Chubb. And both Hunt and Johnson are FAs after the year. Johnson will be cheaper to retain. Thus, Hunt is almost certainly gone elsewhere. Why not get a Day 3 pick for him now? The best they likely do with comp picks is a Day 3 pick for him in two years.

Johnson has been mentioned to the Rams previously, are you sure he's any more destined to remain in Cleveland than is Chubb ?

The 9ers will lose this weekend making them 3-4. If the Rams can somehow beat them next week they will have a 2 games lead on them. I know, I big if.

Meanwhile they'll probably win the division and quite possibly the NFC Championship. It's an "all in" move designed to deprive their rivals of a need. Their roster is top tier and loaded, they could care less about next years draft.
Yeah - Shanny and Lynch need to win big this year otherwise they will be on the hot seat. NFCC at a minimum.

"If" is the middle word in life.

If you can dream but not make dreams your master
If you can think but not make thoughts your aim
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch and toss
And lose and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss -------- Kipling

EVERYBODY goes all in in the NFL. Some more than others.

The Rams went all in risking A LOT and they didn't have to "not breath a word about their loss". Tampa went all in with Brady and won a Superbowl. But did they go as "all in" as the Rams? What did they give up for Brady? Salary? No picks. No players. A risky "all in"? Signing a 6 time Superbowl Champion QB? The Rams went all in on a guy who was 0-3 in the postseason over a 12 year period. Denver followed a combination of the Bucs/Rams model and aren't looking too good right now. Now the 49ers have too with one exception. They went for a RB and not a QB..........and IF McCaffrey stays healthy it may work out as long as Jimmy Garapolo stays healthy also. Because SF with Garapolo and not McCaffrey might be a playoff team but SF with McCaffrey and no QB are the Carolina Panthers. This reeks of desperation. Desperation because of both their injury histories. Desperation because they couldn't live with what the Rams did. And desperation because if it fails, I gotta believe Shanahan and Lynch are gone.
Disagree. When was the last time Houston, Jax, NYG, NYJ, Carolina, Atlanta, Detroit, Pittsburg, Tenn, Chicago, Indy, Washington, etc. went all in?

Injuries can happen to anybody, so I’m not basing the trade on mccaffrey’s health—if it happens, it happens. That aside, it’s a good trade for THIS year.

… but the Rams can still beat them if they stop turning the ball over and generate some first downs—leading to scores. This 3 and out/turning the ball over, resulting in points crap has got to stop.

So get this...I have a fantasy chat with the guys I play with at work. One of those shit faces sent out a pic of McCaffrey in a #23 Whiners Period Red uniform and had the nerve to say Jordan. I was like GTFO with that bullshit hahahaha........I wanna see this trade crash and burn so fucking much now.

Okay..... so I was wrong in a literal sense. Let's say all the contenders are all in every year. But still only 1 wins it. There are teams...... 1/2 the keague, give or take........ who know they have little chance for a Lombardi. And some teams feel their roster is good enough without a trade deadline deal.

69er fans are easily the most POS fans in the NFL. AlwYs full of excuses when they lose. Always full of “gerbils up their ass” euphoria when they win.

Thank god the niners saved us from ourselves. That’s insane compensation for an injury prone rb.
Some of the LA writers are saying the rams got outmaneuvered, I’m curious to hear JRodrigue’s take on it. How serious was McVay’s interest in CMC? And how is Shanny gonna use him, it’s one thing to chew up and spit out low round guys and udfa’s but the first time he gets hurt they’re gonna hear about it, especially if it’s this year.
This is a ballsy move for sure, Garapalo’s a FA next year and they still don’t know about Lance. But the rams came pretty close with an outstanding rb and a so so qb themselves so maybe it’ll work.

CMC isn't your average HB. Like Faulk, he could be a Pro Bowl WR. The issue with him is health. If he stays on the field, he's a stud.

PISSED !!!!

WTF - pisses me if the Draft picks SF(69ers) got for there DC(Jets),last years OC(Miami)

4 - 3rds ? Is that true. Basically makes this guy(RB) free

They didn't have an outstanding rb though. They had a shell of an outstanding rb.

If they had an outstanding rb, and Kupp, things might have been different.

We will never know of course. But I still believe had they played Anderson we blow the Pats out.

I’ll always believe that Big 10 yard Run by Todd Gurley to cross the 50 that got called back because of a BULLS—T Holding Call on John Sullivan would pushed The Rams to a Big Time Victory.
IMO odds were Todd Gurley was not feeling much pain that 2nd half.

Yep, Rams win without the BS penalty.

Assuming ur talking about the BD holding penalty. So let’s say Rams drive to kick a FG. How exactly do they win by removing the BS holding penalty.
