Niners already have a great run game. Idk how this makes them much better in that sense...but what he adds to the pass game is huge. Him abd Deebo is scary.

Well, if you can't trust F. Scott Fitzgerald and Steven Spielberg to do a Trade Value Chart, who can you rely on?

Seriously though, I don't see how mid-to-late picks in Rounds 2, 3 and 4 equate to the 4th overall pick. In fact, it's ridiculous when you consider the Niners gave-up three first round picks, and a third round comp pick to get to #3 overall to draft Trey Lance.

F. Scott and Steven should stick to writing novels and making films. This NFL draft stuff ain't their thing.

If he stays healthy. Whiners going to use him like crazy and his injury history isn't good. Paying big for RBs rarely works but this one will be dependent on McCaffrey staying healthy. Sounds bad saying it, but I hope he gets fucked up and the Whiners trade flops big time.
Yup, they have CMC and Debo now plus, Kittle and Aiyuk.
I love our team, but they have the edge right now on talent.

So do the whiners beat ATL last week with Mc? I don't think so. I guess we'll see how it plays out.

They literally have to win it all to not look stupid. They gave up a shit ton to get CMC. Time will tell if he's worth it.
I agree - it will be a similar narrative to the Stafford trade last year in the media. Worked for us; doesn’t always pan out!

So anybody saying there’s a chance that a guy who has been injured a lot the last couple years might get injured is an idiot. Thank you for the top notch retort. Stay classy
What part of that tweet says one thing about injuries?

Here, I hope it's not to late but you might want to build up those reading comprehension skills.

We all would have liked CMC. I'm glad however we didn't trade that many picks for a guy who always gets hurt and is owed $12 million each of the next three years.
The Rams Org. made the right decision here on this trade for CMC. Thanks, Snead!

Far too many future Ram assets mandated for an often injured high price-talented RB.

Anyway, McVay does not really want to run the ball with an OL made up of mostly OT's & a few centers.

Yeah. I wonder how much of not wanting the Rams to get CMC was in the equation for the 69ers. Once Mitchell gets back in a couple weeks they had a solid RB1/RB2 tandem in Mitchell/Wilson.

Since they've now acquired a "future HOF RB" I guess we should just crown their asses. Clearly now, they aren't who we thought they were. Of course they could let us off the hook!

Yeah, i just didnt think the whiners would allow the rams to out bid them or beat them to the punch again.

The thing about MCM is he has a ton of millage on him. Standford lived off him, so did the Panthers. Running backs, when they start to decline, as a rule of thumb, tend to fall off a cliff.

This is an over reaction to the rams succes.
Not to mention they still have the worst quarterback of all the serious contenders.

And let us not forget that Shanny's last three post-seasons have ended with 3 blown 4Q leads of at least 10.

No offense, but 5.3 yards per cary against us is not getting blown up. 148 yards from scrimmage is something we needed. Now we have to face it twice a year. And let's be real, the 49er's have a much better offense and OL than Carolina.
This trade hurts us more ways than one.
I love the thought, but reality says they got better and we still struggle against them without him. That only got worse.
Shitters are now more varied and dangerous underneath. This was a trade to try to ensure they jump us. But as pointed out the combo of average QB and CMCs frailty might prevent them from succeeding.

Rams just need to answer. Add a back for balance. Add an edge threat to the defense. Then let's go shock the league by defending that title.

I'm not sure our rather decimated OL will allow much 'shocking' the league this year, but I look very favorably upon building for the future, if not quite as much for today.
I'm also not big on trading away our higher 2023 draft picks, mostly due to our pressing OL needs, so that leaves me thinking trading some of our Super Bowl level players that may not necessarily have extended stays in L.A. are made available. Matching those players with teams which could benefit from them is trickier, but shouldn't be impossible. I also have no objection to trading 2024 picks which might be bundled together with players. jmo.

According to NFLN just now, the 49ers barely edged us out for CMC. So Snead was going after him, just didn't have enough juice behind the picks.

Reports are the third round comp picks they had for coaches that we didn’t put their offer over ours.

Waiting for Snead's Plan B, ... and it might be better. :bullseye:

No sir, I don't like it. This is SFs "all in" season. Will it be enough? Probably in the NFC at least. Maybe the Eagles can take em down. I hate both teams.....ah well.

I’m fine with it. Let the 9ers go all in when they are unlikely to get past the Eagles or Vikes and damn sure not getting past the Bills…
