We actually missed both a winning season and the playoffs in the strike year of 1987, so it was 6 out of 7 in those years.

That's the only other stretch of 5 or more I know of but not sure about the 60s

They had six straight winning seasons between 1966-71, but only made the playoffs after the 67 and 69 seasons - including missing in 68 with a 10-3-1 record.

I admit I had little faith in Morris and really had doubts about this game.

The D showed up and made MASSIVE plays when it mattered. This was BY FAR the best game Morris called this year. He put the young guys in good position time and time and time again.

I still hate the scheme with the fire of a thousand suns, but if Morris continues to adjust like this, we have a legit shot going forward!

This was EXACTLY the type of win we needed!!!

So after the game last night I had to run out to the store real quick (the boy needs milk) and decided I'd check out the lamentations of the Cards fans at AZ sports radio and drink up some tears. I was not disappointed.

First guy I hear is lamenting that the national media is now going to be back on the "Cards aren't as good as we thought," narrative.

Marcus did not disappoint. Our good friend Colin at FS1 echoed similar thoughts this morning also and knocked the Cards down to #6 from #2 in his top 10. Rams jump from #9 to #3 while GB falls out of first and gets leap-frogged by the Bucs. Not available yet to post, FWIW.

What I liked was that AZ didn't shit the bed for us to win. We beat them in their house while they also played well. We just flat out beat them.

Was key that we didn't let Conner dominated us on the ground like they did last game. We absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage on rushing plays to the tune of 13/31 with a 2.4 avg on Conner's runs. Thats great. The turnover battle victory is the clearest indicator of wins in the NFL. That pick in the endzone is literally the difference in the game. Thats taking 7 points off the board. Also, if you notice on that play, even had Donald not tipped it and Jones pick it, the CB (not sure who it was) was going to pick it anyway. Great defense on that play and bad decision by the midget.

Our first east coast prime time game! What a treat! Missed the first quarter cause I was mounting the 65” on the lanai, pool side. Loving the Florida life so far, 2 weeks in! Helluva game by our boys, except for STs on the onside kick.

33 plays and no impact. One tackle, I think. Fewer snaps than Scott and Orr.

Sure did. And they picked on Orr repeatedly. But too many of AZ's first down conversions were completely uncontested gimmes that were a product of a very soft defensive scheme.
