Well... Objectively speaking... McVay is also coaching with a salary cap which Shula didn't have to deal with. Possibly THE biggest hinderance to sustained winning football?

And two of the three dynasties since the Salary cap cheated... of the 9ers, Cowboys and Patriots, the 9ers and Patriots cheated. Only the Cowboys didn't... thankfully, Jerry burned it all to the ground rather than let Jimmy Johnson get any credit.

But yeah... other than a HoF coach with a very well built team, it's not been done without cheating.

I'd like us to get to that point, but I think with so much emphasis on parity that it will be hard.
