Didn't get to see the game, but the final score looks like what one would have expected going in if the Rams played decent enough. Apparently they did. And apparently Morris made some adjustments to D, as they only gave up 3 points until garbage time when they gave up 8 playing a bunch of reserves. Glad to see Rapp have a good game, and noticed he was playing close to the LOS on his first pick ... where he should be playing. Stafford's no-look pass to Kupp was just fucking ridiculous ... good luck reading his eyes, opposing DBs.

Our 46-9 drubbing of the Colts to open the McVay era was another instance of a final score that had never been seen before.

It’s a little early for the Victory Bourbon, but that time is coming!

What is this "too early for bourbon" concept of which you speak?? Does not compute, divide by zero error.

I heard on the radio that Ramsey was refusing to come out late in the game. And McVay had to pry him out. Was that ever talked about?

Yeah, talked about by the announcers, ... and McVay had to call a time-out in order to force him out which probably pissed him off a bit.

I would think ignoring known facts that directly affect the point being made would make the argument subjective by definition.
I mostly agree with all your points; and think the topic of best head coaches is interesting, and should include many factors. Those diverse factors would make the discussion even more interesting.

Initially, I was just making the simple point that six games into his 5th season, Shula had coached in eight fewer games than McVay has through six games in his 5th season.

I would think the most simple and basic ‘known facts’ to start a discussion would be the number of games coached and the number won.

I consider myself the biggest Sean McVay fan in the world.

I named my first-born-son after Sean McVay; and that was met with protests, including my 33-year old son who did not want to change his name.

We need to keep in mind that the WR position in NY is decimated and being thrown in with limited starting reps.....but yeah...still not a bad idea
Maybe it doesn't transfer to bigger talent ,but yesterday he was on top of it.
A lot of it comes from my frustration in Long, who had to come in on the Giants 2 pt conversion.
and of course the conversion pass was completed to Longs coverage responsibility.

BTW... You were the same guy that wanted Staley fired after 3 games last year - no? I can quote you if you'd like.

Find a different thread for your fire the DC rants other than one of our celebration threads.
Wait a minute are you talking about the Great Staley The ultimate master of defense and
Raheem Morris the absolute worst DC in the league?( Who without doubt should be fired immediately)

I am pretty sure the ESPN Stats must be incorrect, because they have the Rams Rated #9 in points allowed.
Meanwhile the Chargers are ranked #21 in points allowed. Most recently allowing the Browns to put up
47 points and the Ravens to put up 34 in the last two weeks.

Rams503 - Thank you for saying what most of us were thinking. :cheers2:

Another QB performance metric has Stafford ranked #1 in week 6.

It’s a metric that blends Expected Point Added per play and Completion Percentage Over Expected. One of the better predictive stats out there as well as a solid measuring stick for QBs against one another.

Well... Objectively speaking... McVay is also coaching with a salary cap which Shula didn't have to deal with. Possibly THE biggest hinderance to sustained winning football?
True... but McVay also helped create his own cap problems by getting on board with several big contracts we had to later eat.

Kurt Warner isn't a big fan of No-Look passes. He thinks looking off safeties/ Lbers is fine, but the No-Look doesn't make you more accurate, he thinks.....He also said
"GET OFF MY LAWN!"
I'm not a fan of no look passes either... but I think in this case Stafford knew there could not a defender out there, which makes it ok. Unless it was a lateral.

Of course, the EPA+CPOE composite index. That explains everything.

Yeah some folks seem to think all it takes is saying one sentence: "Play more aggressively and keep Rapp closer to the LOS." Boom, now I'm qualified to be the new Rams DC!
