Had Coporate meetings at Head Quarters in Connecticut this week and covered other major cites so I listened to quite a bit of Sirius Radio sports talk...So I recorded some notes and want to celebrate accordingly.
- Nick Wright who thought of all the underdogs, Dallas had the best chance of winning.and come 6:02am on Monday Morning, everyone was going to be talking how overrated Sean McVay was and to stop hiring from his tree.
- Evan Cohen and Mike Babchik, who predicted an easy win for the Cowboys.
- Leroy calling from California, who predicted the Colts & Chargers and then said "I just have a feeling that Dallas is going to run all over the Rams with Elliott and stop their offense."
- George from New York, "It's going to be the Eagles vs. The Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game."
- Jerry from Tampa...."Dak will kill the Rams with his legs and Goff can't run so he's a sitting duck."
- Joey from Jersey...."Dallas has better players easy money taking the points and it will be a home game for the Cowboys."
- Josh in our Providence office and a Cowboy fan...'We're coming for you Den, we're coming for you."
I'm on cloud 9.
We dominated every aspect of this game. We showed absolutely ZERO freaking weakness!
Oh...and the field looked great.
Couldn't have said it better myself .For me tonight the best part is not just that we won but HOW
You just reminded me that the Rams winning by 8 points means they covered the spread. Perfect.
I know, man. It just feels amazing. We finally got that elusive playoff win. And lol at all the dipshits trying to claim that McVay can't get it done in the playoffs because he lost his first playoff game. Lol at all of you fools.
Congrats LA fans. Rooting for you guys.
We just knocked out a better defense than we will see next week.
Watching tape of this game is going to give the next team we play a fit. Which offense do they prepare for?
How do they stop our run game without Goff eating them alive?
We need this defense to continue what they showed us tonight.I think the Rams are a different offense right now than they were earlier this season. Without Kupp they lost that ability to dictate in the passing game and have adjusted, and ironically might be a more potent playoff offense because of it. Their dual threat running game they have going, with Gurley threatening home runs and Anderson beating up LBs and DBs is a very powerful tool for facing good defenses and playoff ball.
Goff has been late on throws and inaccurate at times but yes he hit so many key passes today that aren't going to show in that stat line. And that's cool, he's 23 with his best ball ahead of him.
We're going to need tonight's defense to show up next week, but if they do watch out. Whoever we play is gonna have all they can handle.
This game was very special to me.
My oldest son has watched a few games with me this year including the Chiefs game that I thought was gonna kill me.
He just kept saying “have faith, Dad” Cynical Mack kept trying to crash that party and my son wasn’t having any part of it.
I got him a Aaron Donald jersey for Xmas and he was kinda confused why I’d get him a jersey (his all time favorite player is Deacon Jones) as he’s a recovering Cowboys fan who enjoys our father son time. Well, he sees that AD is maybe the best defender since Jones with the possible exception of Lawrence Taylor and is now an enthusiast Rams fan.
So we watched the game in our jerseys, me in my Kupp jersey and him in his AD jersey and it was fantastic!
Great bonding time over a fantastic win!
What a night!!!
We need this defense to continue what they showed us tonight.
It looked like every player played disciplined as far as assignments.
Littleton was a stud tonight.
I'm not certain, but it seemed we blitzed less tonight.
You’re a better man than me
Kicked my son outta the room when Dallas went ahead on that early TD
And it worked
Exactly, CJ gives them a different dimension which helps make up for the loss of Kupp. Goff doesn't trust the younger receivers as much as Kupp, it's clear he can't always be certain where they're going to be. Great throws require great anticipation.I think the Rams are a different offense right now than they were earlier this season.
Both of you: wear all your gear again tomorrow. All over town.
