We own the tiebreaker against Seattle, but not SF or Chicago. If we dont win the division, #5 seed is the best we can get.
And that 5 is a pretty good spot, really. I like opening up the playoffs either back in Carolina or in Tampa Bay. I also wouldn't mind seeing both the Seahawks and the Niners on our path.

If Niners and Seattle lose a game each and we win our two games, we get the 2 seed. Nothing to sniff at considering someone likely takes out the Bears so we end up with home field throughout.

In that scenario we get Packers at SoFi, wildcard round which I like.

The 2 is a nicer path - so long as Eagles lose in the first round, there is still a chance to get both SF and SEA but with both games at home.

That's true, I didn't think of that scenario. We just need to take care of our business and then hope for some luck.

Would be nice if Carolina and Chicago win this weekend. But I'm not putting my hopes in that happening. If it happens then great. But I'm looking at the number 5 seed. I think that is the more likely scenario.

Assuming we win the next two games we'd be going to Carolina or Tampa. A game we should win with either opponent. Now if we end up the lowest remaining seed we'd go to the number one seed.

Chicago is the one place I would not want to see them play. I really think we'll win if we go to Seattle or SF. So I'm hoping Chicago doesn't earn the number one seed. I think we'd beat them in good weather but good weather is not likely this time of year.

If we're thinking number one seed then we'd need SF to lose this weekend and win next weekend. But it would give Chicago the number one seed if they beat Detroit the next week.
In this scenario, we wouldn't face Chicago in Chicago until the NFC championship game. Doubt Chicago gets that far as experience makes a difference in the playoffs. With that said, I'm confident we can beat their ass there too. I'd much rather have the #1 seed, but I'll take the #2 as well. It's possible we'd get GB in that scenario in round 1 with another home game vs whoever in the divisional round. To me, that's nothing to sneeze at. With all that said, as long as the Rams bring their A game during the playoffs, we can beat anyone anywhere.

GB now most likely the team to play the number #2 seed after getting their ass whooped :laugh1:

I'm hoping whiners and hags lose this week, the Rams win out and the Lions play inspired football on the last week of the season with Gibbs running for 300 yards on the ground. We would only play at Chicago if it's for the NCFFG, and Chicago could be upset by whoever they play. Of course if the whiners and hags lose and the Lions play one solid game when they have no pressure, the Rams can still get the bye week.

For me the equation is simple. If Panthers beat Hawks im rooting for Frisco tonight. This is the preferred option, due to the fact I believe there is a better chance of Seattle upsetting San Fran in Week 18 than there is Detroit upsetting Chicago. Then we can win 1-seed.

Option 2 is if Hawks beat Panthers im rooting for Bears tonight, then a Niner win next week would give us the Division and the 2-seed at least (If Chicago wins and we win out)

Carolina is hanging in there. They should’ve had 2 interceptions in the first half though. Hopefully Bryce Young can pick up his game in the second half.

It is what it is - we gotta move on from this. I’m fully expecting us to be on the road the entirety of the playoffs, and probably somehow playing both the whiners and Seahawks.

If you are the best team in the NFL then it doesn’t matter seed or location.

We can beat any of these teams anywhere if we execute.

How does that face mask call give an automatic first down? Shouldn't that have made it 4th and something or do I just not know the rules anymore?
