I believe the Rams would win the tiebreaker if they were tied with the Seahawks. That’s at least how the ESPN Playoff machine interprets that scenario.

Rams beat out the Seahawks via tiebreaker 3, Comnon Games, after being tied in tiebreaker #1, Head To Head, and tiebreaker #2 Division record.

Hopefully the home Panther fans can bring some energy and play a big role in an upset.

But, I don’t know about Carolina. They just don’t impress me much on paper.

Yeah, they beat us but we beat ourselves. Plus Bryce Young played his ass off and best game of the year kind of sh#t. Can they do that against Seattle, I will be SHOCKED.

Would be nice if Carolina and Chicago win this weekend. But I'm not putting my hopes in that happening. If it happens then great. But I'm looking at the number 5 seed. I think that is the more likely scenario.

Assuming we win the next two games we'd be going to Carolina or Tampa. A game we should win with either opponent. Now if we end up the lowest remaining seed we'd go to the number one seed.

Chicago is the one place I would not want to see them play. I really think we'll win if we go to Seattle or SF. So I'm hoping Chicago doesn't earn the number one seed. I think we'd beat them in good weather but good weather is not likely this time of year.

If we're thinking number one seed then we'd need SF to lose this weekend and win next weekend. But it would give Chicago the number one seed if they beat Detroit the next week.

I do like the 1pm start as a reason to hope SEA comes out flat.

Good teams have gotten smarter about limiting the circadian rhythm issues that come with west coast teams playing early on the east coast, usually playing better in the 2nd half after a tendency to come out sluggish in the first. It might only make the littlest difference in and of itself, but with them also coming off a big emotional win? They really might be set up for a let down and the Panthers at home can give anyone a hard time, as we know.

Bryce Young doesn't have to have another career game as long they don't let Darn ol' Darnold get going.

Seattle is the better team so they probably pull out another W, but I can totally see them having the same kind of day we did there.

However it goes I just hope it's a long and painful snot-popper of a game.

So if the whiners and chickens both loose this weekend. Can rams still win the division if they rest their players against AZ? Cause I don't think Detroit will beat Chicago and I would like the rams to get some rest.

Carolina forces turnovers and darnold likes to serve up turnovers, I can see carolina winning.

Panthers had good protections and predictably torched our sorry ass secondary. McMillan is a stud. Young is having a nice season with ball distribution and killed our front with his escapability. It was a bit of a perfect storm, just needed a bad day by Stafford and they got it.

But I don't think they're gonna be able to pull that shit off vs the Seahawks defense, which is a lot more sound on the back end. Hoping for an upset win and Young playing balls out. But I fear Seattle's gonna take care of business.

Honestly, Jalen Coker is going to be a good one as well. Should've definitely been drafted in 2024 with his size and hands; it was only because he was from a D2 school in Holy Cross that he wasn't. Xavier Legette is a former first round receiver with size as well, and that's a wide receiving trio whose smallest is 6'3", which is very hard to handle. They have some really good running backs (Dowdle, Hubbard, Jonathan Brooks when he's healthy), they have some underrated tight ends that fit within the scheme (Ja'Tavion Sanders could be elite), their O-line is much improved, etc.

Really, Carolina could be a consistent winner in the NFC South for some time. I don't trust Bryce Young as much as a starting QB, but he's been playing much better as of late. All they need is more beef on the O and D lines and another solid corner.

Y'all can thank me later.... My sports book is totally in the toilet this year... Can't pick anything right...

So, I took the over points w/ Seattle. That, right there, guarantees they don't score enough.... :laugh4:

Looking at ESPN playoff machine, only way we get 1 seed is Carolina beats Seattle, Bears beat Whiners, Lions beat Bears, and Whiners beat Seattle. Don’t see all that happening so we are a 5 or 6 seed. Most likely 5 seed playing at Tampa. Sucks because we should have already had 1 seed locked up if we didn’t give away 4 games.

Orignally the greatest post XMAS presents I wanted was Seattle to lose to Carolina and the 49er's to lose to Chicago.
However, if that happens and Chicago wins out they'd get the #1 seed due to a better conference record.
So, if Santa wants to bring something extra, Seattle loses Sunday, the 49er's win and then next week Seattle beats SF.

In that scenario, we win out and we take the divison and the #1 seed.

Likely, maybe not, but you never know.

Yeah, it sucks but if we wanted any team to open the playoffs against I'd pick Tampa. Better weather and we already creamed them once. But right now, it's Carolina, not Tampa.

I believe the Rams would win the tiebreaker if they were tied with the Seahawks. That’s at least how the ESPN Playoff machine interprets that scenario. If two teams are tied it’s head to head record, then division record and common games. They both would have a win against each other. Their division records provided the Rams win out would be the same 4-2. Finally it’s common games WL and Rams would be better by one game by virtue of their win over Tampa Bay which the Seahawks lost to.
We own the tiebreaker against Seattle, but not SF or Chicago. If we dont win the division, #5 seed is the best we can get.
