If she can make the team fine, I wish people wouldn't make a big deal about a person's gender.
Perform or don't perform, just like everyone else. I hate media hype over things like this, because they ultimately tend to push a collective agenda, which has a negative impact on that individuals ability to earn respect and compensation on merit. We went through it with Michael Sam, and who knows with Jeff Fisher, that may have been a publicity stunt. On the surface it appeared a potential depth acquisition, but when the media attempted to vilify the Rams organization over his release, all for the cause of that collectivist narrative, you end up negatively impacting the next man/woman up for fear of the media.
I know it's a different sport, but I cycle in groups with females who are faster than some of the guys we ride with, sometimes there's a little friendly competition, but we're still just friends enjoying a common activity together. No white knighting and no social justice bologna, just friends competing and having fun, and it never occurred to any of us to think that way.
That's the way it should work in football I think, the team is the primary collective, all else is bullshit for people who don't care for or understand the sport.
