CLAP FOR THE WOLFMAN!!!!!

Funny but I was actually listening to this song early in the week not knowing the future RAMifications!
Biggest takeaways from this game:
1) McVay found the deep ball. The OL wasn't all of a sudden stout and Goff hits on some of those. With Kupp and Whit back, expect to see both the deep ball as well as the deep crossing routes that used to be a Rams staple. I really don't think Seattle is gonna expect that, even if we hit one early.
2) This D is exceptional. I feel honored to be allowed to watch my team play like this. They may not be the '85 Bears or the 2000 Ravens, but this D is really special and Championship caliber for certain.
3) We have a legit backup. Knowing that means something. I'm glad for Wolford.
4) Hekker continues to suffer from the lack of kick coverage which doesn't allow him to really put his foot into it. Every time he kicks it really deep, it opens up a big return. This Special Teams Coach has to go.
5) A'Shawn Robinson has really come on. His FG block was big for the momentum of the defense.
6) Matt Gay is our kicker! I haven't felt this comfortable with a kicker since Money (Jeff Wilkins for the newbs). I loved Legatron, but his draw used to freak me out. I tend to try to avoid the "Gay" jokes, but Gay is about the straightest kicker I've seen in a long while. LOL
Biggest takes for Seattle next week:
1) We restock. Goff, Whit, Kupp, Brockers, and Kizer... should all be back. That's a LOT of talent being added.
2) Jamal Adams and Jerron Reed appear to be out for Seattle. As much as the talking heads will talk about Adams who is an amazing player, Reed as a big, strong DT has caused is far more problems running our offense.
3) This team seems to have found it's scrappy fight on offense. Watching Wolford fight for critical first downs really lifted this team.
4) Floyd is playing amazing football and the synergy he's got with AD is only getting stronger. And with Fox coming on, our front 7 is playing some of its best football at the right time.
5) All the talking heads are gonna pick Seattle in this game and we're gonna make them look really bad. While I don't know if Goff's gonna have a big game, I think he's gonna make critical plays that lead to a victory.
Some of his play calling did leave something to be desired again..Anyone who has been down on McVay for whatever reason needs to go and eat some fucking crow and come back here begging for forgiveness. Are you kidding me with how you had that Wolf ready to go? Incredible scheming.
Yeah you fuckin tell them Pastor Donald preach it!!!!!I love in the postgame interview, when asked about the Seattle match up, AD just said, “that’s what we wanted”. Damn straight that’s what we wanted.
Very Nice!!!
We get at least 1 playoff game.
I'm happy!
In the ROD sportsbook I purposely bet about $100,000 dollars that the Cardinals would win, and the Bears would win.
Because if we somehow lost today, I at least wanted to rake in the fake cash on ROD.
But if we won, which we DID, I'd get to see my Rams in the playoffs again, and no amount of ROD dollars is worth not being in the playoffs.
In other words I didn't want to be bummed about both things. I placed my bets so that I'd succeed at one or the other.
Nice Win Rams Defense and Wolford!!!
ughMight be one of the last
Moving to a 17 game schedule next year
I agree there are some scheme problems but there are also some players problems. We don't have a WR that can go up and bring down a ball, that is a huge problem. If any WR or TE gets any form of contact he's going to drop the ball, but worse, they dont even know how to go up and fight for it. Our TE's and at least two of our Olineman have big time blocking issues.Just got out of the hospital on Tuesday. I felt good about Wolford, I have all season. He managed the game well, made plays when he had to, and only really made one mistake that he worked off. It was as good of a performance that could be expected of any first-time starter. His mobility definitely caught the Cards by surprise even though they supposedly had hundreds of plays by Wolford.
But make no mistake there are some serious issues on the offense that have more to do with scheme than players. Sean needs to begin to transition to a power run game. There is no question in my mind he will do so next year.
The playoffs are a whole new season. Anything can happen. In the playoffs IMO you are better off with an elite defense which the Rams have. NFL you have been warned.
Wolford does a couple of things very well.Come on, dude. Hell of a job by Wolford to do enough to get the W, but we scored 9 offensive points against Arizona. Goff led us to 31 offensive points last time we played and threw for 350 yards. All the respect in the world to Wolford for stepping up in such a pivotal game (especially in his first NFL snaps). But he ain't Goff.
McVay didn't find it IMO. We just had a QB today who is willing to stand behind this shitty OL and wait for those. I alluded to this in the other thread as an expectation and some thought I was nuts. But it was a common sense expectation that a fresh QB would be less shell shocked and willing to consider those lower percentage routes.1) McVay found the deep ball. Right there with ya.ugh
I hate odd numbers ...................lol
A big receiver with good hands would be nice to have but it’s not a glaring need IMO. KC and GB don’t have one and they will enjoy bye weeks because Mahome and Rodgers can avoid a rush and buy time to make a good throw.I agree there are some scheme problems but there are also some players problems. If our defense is elite we should be in the Super Bowl. So we will see.

Adams is 6’ 1”, hardly big. Their TE Tonyan is big though.*Davante Adams has entered the Chat*
