Amen brother! I never thought of the locker room leadership role!! Excellent point brother!

And we still have 4-5 more ways to create more cap if we need.
We might need that segment of potential income stream from the hog business to make up that 10 million difference to get Bobby! Get 'er done, otto!

Wagner is going to meet with the Rams. If they sign him I see it as a two year deal with a 3rd void year attached to spread the money. I keep saying it's all about the guaranteed $$$. He would probably accept a low 2022 cap with a midrange cap number next year and his profit after the second season from the 3rd void year.

Unfortunately, lots of people choose to talk, then sleep on it before making their final decision.

Seems selfish to me; I WANNA KNOW NOW!
exactly. You have to move across the country and uproot your family? Your kids have to find new friends. Your tv schedule is different due to time zones? And we're the ones being impatient? You selfish sons of bitches sleeping on your sleep number mattress that we can't afford. I don't know what point I'm trying to make. Im just tired from sleeping on straw.

Another thing to think about with spending on Wagner vs a top Edge still available...Ernest Jones rushed the passer surprisingly well last year and should only be better this year. If we sign Wagz we will want both him and Jones on the field together A LOT which will require Raheem to tweak our scheme a bit. But I wouldn't be surprised in sub packages if we put in Ernest Jones at OLB to solely rush the passer. Or line him up at ILB and ask him to blitz a lot on known passing downs. Maybe if we implement something like that not singing a top edge will be less noticeable. IDK but just a thought because I liked the way Jones rushed the passer when he was asked to blitz.

You know mcv ay asked if bobby would benefit morris's scheme so if they sign him, there is plan, and not just a a plan, a kick ass plan.

BTW, I don't see it stunting E. Jones' growth... In fact Wagner could be a great influence on him. Kind of an added bonus similar to what Miller did for Donald, but in a diff way and more impactful way since Jones is still a young player.

So I don't see a downside. And with a 17 game season players miss games so having 3 quality ILB's is a need. And as mentioned before, he helps you against the Niners in particular as he adds a physical presence. A presence that Weddle brought from the S spot the NFCCG that was critical, but now it can come from a more important position at LB.

Rappaport: ILB Wagner visiting the Rams.

His 2nd best season was 2021?

NFL Free Agent ILB: Bobby Wagner (former team) Seattle Seahawks: Born Jun 27, 1990 (age 31)

(Turns 32 years old on Jun 27, 2022.)

I wasn't that excited about Wagner possibly coming to the Rams when the free agency period started.

I was willing to welcome him but didn't realize he how productive he's been over the last few seasons.

I thought Wagner was still a good player but not at the level his statistics show over the last 3 seasons.

I honestly had no idea Wagner's 2nd best season of his 10 year NFL career was in 2021.

2021 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 155 tackles #2
2020 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 136 tackles #4
2019 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 144 tackles #3
2018 Seattle Seahawks 15 games 126 tackles
2017 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 124 tackles

2016 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 164 tackles #1
2015 Seattle Seahawks 15 games 111 tackles
2014 Seattle Seahawks 11 games 97 tackles
2013 Seattle Seahawks 14 games 111 tackles
2012 Seattle Seahawks 16 games 130 tackles #5

Wagner has produced at least 111 tackles or more over his last 7 seasons.

This is quite impressive for a 10 year veteran inside linebacker.

Rodrigue posted again that she thinks if it happens it will be team friendly. She's usually really plugged in so I doubt they break the bank for him. More of a chase a ring, get to own carroll twice and play in your home town. Money is obviously important, but I'd be stunned if they break the bank for an ILB.

Just a gut feeling or did you see something definitive?

my mushrooms told me so, and they graduated head of their class....also, the little green gummi unicorns faxed me confirmation. A fax is how people of a certain higher vibration communicate with 47.8% of inter-dimensional species worldwide. So, yeah, it's kinda definitive..

I'm a little worried about how much is left in the tank but if they add him at a low rate it's all good. And I'm sure he'll play like he's 5 years younger vs Seattle. Plus we can laugh at the Seattle tears because they're gonna fucking HATE it if it happens. :laugh4:
