And 100% of people outside of Patriot land think their fans have unrealistic expectations
This was a good exchange between a Philly sports writing legend and some New England guys, including Albert Breer. This was before their SB 8 years ago.

Comparing Eagles fans and Patriot fans... don't care for either fanbase, but he drops facts on Patriot land.

Reported that the Niners will not retain Nick Sorenson as their Defensive Coordinator; and they also let go of their Special Teams Coordinator earlier in the day.

I liked him running SF's defense. They were notably shittier than usual this year. Could be that the aging of vets caught up with them too of course but it was nice watching them bleed points this year. 25.6 is fuckin terrible boy. :part:

Having an owner with Billions of Dollars is a blessing too. Now some are not as good with that money, but Georgia was like Dean Spanos, the team was her income, whereas with Enos Stanley Kroenke, his sport teams are part of his legacy.
This is a huge thing actually and one of the main issues the Bears have.

In fairness, the Rams franchise was already turning around before McVay.

It started when Kroenke took over. He put a solid front office in place with Demoff and Snead. Then he hired Fisher. The organization was slowly ascending from the grave when they hired McVay who obviously was the crowning piece needed to take the organization to top tier status.

It's gonna take more than a brilliant HC hiring to turn these teams into winners. If I'm a young HC candidate I'd run from broken organizations that don't have a solid ownership and front office in place.
You’re absolutely right. The FO deserves a ton of credit too, not just McVay. That’s why the FO/scouting department has also been getting plucked.

Teams who have turned things around include both those who have raided the Rams coaching staff and those who have hired away FO/scouting personnel. A bad FO/GM kills opportunities for a team’s and coach’s success.

As for avoiding those jobs with poor management, sometimes it’s the only way a first year coach gets his opportunity, but that might not be worth it. Are teams gonna be lining up for saleh and the guy who was one and done in NE? What about the now ex-raider coach? Those guys will have to go back to being coordinators—if the job is offered. Bad GMs are just as prevalent as bad coaches.

YEP !!! RAYBOY F”D that one UP !!!

His ego & insecurities caught up with him.He and the 8ers got lucky last season and didn’t realize it.All those fans were crying just like those WEAK RAMS FANS(haters) that don’t realize what they have in a DC !!

By the way F””” STAYLEY !!! He’s a JOKE & OVERRATED!!! For those Morris HATERS as well. Take those 2 3rd rd picks & STICK IT in LES Sneads pockets !! Plus enjoy your SUPER BOWL gear.

Well we’ll see what Kevin O’connel’s got ?Glad Morris didn’t get that Vikings job instead of him.
He is the better coach though & his last 2 seasons are even better than Matt Lafleur’s or Zac Taylor?? Then again high standards from Sean Mcvay’s coaching tree.

I guess Ratboy is staying,do wonder how if traded that would change the nfc much ?

He’s exactly right. Before the Cheating Super Bowl team, I never saw anything Patriots anywhere. After that game and the next few years there was Patriot stuff everywhere, and I’m in Pennsylvania!

My niece is a Chiefs fan. An old neighbor of mine goes around with Niners stuff on. When did they both start watching the NFL? Last years Super Bowl. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but one of them (the neighbor)is such an obnoxious fan and tries to be taken seriously when she talks football. If you listened to her, you’d think she was a Niners fan since the 80’s. And you’d also think the Niners were the best team in the league right now and there were no other teams even close.

I hate newish fanbases. They have no humility because they never followed their team through a down period.
