He's a decent DC. Guy before him was better though. Feels to me like Dallas' problem is culture but hey no worries Schotty has that for action. :laugh2:

He's not a decent DC. He's not even an average DC. He failed in college, failed in the NFL, and somehow got promoted to HC for the Bears.

With Schotty and Eberfail at the helm, the Cowgirls are going to be at the bottom of every statistical category for years to come.

OK ...
that's their Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, DL-coach / Run-Game Coordinator and WR-coach ... thus far. They are retaining their OL-coach ... former NFL O-lineman Hank Fraley
I seem to remember a lot of people speculating that maybe McVay was losing so many of his coaches because he was hard to work with or that he was really stubborn in a my way or the highway type of rule. Funny I don’t see any of that being said about Dan Campbell.

I am guessing it would be very much more so with the likes of Caveman Dan. I get the feeling that while he is a players coach type, he may be an asshole to work for.

So there. Since I haven’t seen it, I’m starting the speculation on my own. :fuckyou:

Dallas used to be a premier landing spot as Head Coach. Now they get to pick from the scraps.

Ownership makes a big difference

I mentioned this before. Ryan Poles hired a bunch of coaches with and including Eberfluus that all have the same agent as Poles. If I was the Bears ownership and realized that, he’d be gone.

Uninspiring is being courteous. This is an outrage & it’s time for Jerry Jones to give up power, but rumor has it that it was his son Stephen that backed Schottenheimer.
I’m not outraged in the least. Jerruh is doing a fine job. I can’t wait until he starts designing and calling his own plays. How ‘bout them cowboys?! Woohoo!

Well, you got Knowles for DC, congrats great move for Penn State.
I think he would have stayed at Ohio State if Day had fired LJ Sr.

Supposedly Knowles doesn’t want to be a head coach and is likely to stay more than a year or two. That would be a nice change. Every good OC/DC that Frsnklin hires gets poached a year or two later. It’s bad for continuity and I’m sure it’s not easy to find good replacements so frequently.

More significantly, for PSU fans, is that PSU is finally playing by the same rules as schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia etc…. The former ADs and President held the football program back. The current regime has amped up the spending and inspired the boosters, leading to a lot more money to work with. Now Franklin has to fix the areas of recruiting where he’s weakest, namely DT and Receiver.

You may already be aware of the situation with Knowles but this podcast interviews an Ohio State beat reporter and he basically gives his account of why Knowles left.

So next year Shula gets a HC gig and we replace him with Antonio Pierce. Two years later we get 2 more comp picks after we get 2 when a team makes Farmer their GM.

The Rams still figure to lose some coaches this off-season. Streicher is already gone; and Pleasant, Caley, Ragone and Scheelhaase have all received interviews. Plus, Carter may well get a DL-coach opportunity.
Unfortunately, the Rams just lost A.C. Carter to Carolina.

Jets hiring Detroit's TE coach as their OL coach Might also be taking their passing game coordinator for OC.

Bold freaking prediction. One of the reasons I always thought Raheem Morris was the perfect DC for The Rams.
My biggest concern was when he almost got the Vikings HC job.
