The Rams were hardly ever in the red zone.
From 2017-2019 no RB had more carries inside the 20 then Todd Gurley. SJ had years where he wasn't in the top 30.

I think if bradford had the team goff had from 2017 - 2018 and had a coach like McVay, he'd still be a ram to this day. His best receiver during his entire career was probably danario alexander or mark clayton for like 3 games. The oline was always a mess. Jeff Fisher did not improve the situation. I really don't think you can compare the 2 fairly. Much different situations for both qbs.
Both QB's drove me nuts with their boneheaded turnovers and lack of awareness and instincts. Neither one of them would have survived 12 years in Detroit.

I guess according to some you cant compare them like that in this thread. You can only look at who achieved more. So by those standards, Foles is a better qb than both.
I'm just looking forward to Matt Stafford showing why he's the best #1 overall pick to play for the Rams
Bradford was more mentally prepared but Goff was more physically capable... Bradford had very little around him, but even so, Goff did far more for us than Bradford did.

Compare them like what? What you think might have happened vs. actually evaluating their play and achievements during their rams tenure? Surely you can see why one is a comparison and one is just like...you’re feelings of how things could have hypothetically worked differently. For your sake though let’s throw out achievements because that’s apparently not an acceptable metric to you based on your foles comments so let’s just look at level of play...to which year of Bradfords career would you like to compare 2018 goff? So Bradford didn’t outplay Goff, he didn’t achieve more, and he couldn’t even stay on the field yet you wanna cling to the unfair shake he got because of bad organizations??? That can be said for like anyone dude wake up. Having your talent squandered by a shitty organization is super common in the NFL and in no way means that you are superior to someone who played for a good organization simply because it’s unfair ....plus we still haven’t addressed the elephant in the room....how would McVay help Bradford if he was always hurt? Why anyone thinks McVay would have magically made Bradford even stay on the field is beyond me. It’s not like his injuries started with bad Rams o lines...:they started behind DOMINANT Oklahoma lines and continued everywhere he went after us.
That’s not really a bold claim...I think if Goff had the team from 2017-2018 every year he’d still be a ram too lol.
Either way how does that team prevent this?

Goff and it is not even close. What did Bradford ever do for the Rams? I was against the signing originally based on the cut ups of his OU days ever pass the wr were wide open anyone could have made those throws. He had 5 players on offense that made the NFL 3 of them made the probowl. Plus his injuries on his shoulders.

I'm looking at the big picture. Achievements come with their surroundings. If a players success is solely on him, than so are his failures. You cant have it both ways. I've seen Bradford play under terrble line play and bad offense, and I've seen Goff play in similar, but not as bad circumstances. I'm saying you have to compare each qb in similar circumstances. I never said you CANT look at their achievements, but looking at only achievements and level of play to justify who was better is surface analytics at best.
Goff wasnt good under fisher. It took an offensive minded coach with a proven record of working with qbs and put talent around him to make him the 2017 and 2018 version of him. But look what happened in 2019 when his line fell apart. He was average. And was average last season with a better oline. Bradford endured 2 defensive coaches who did nothing for him. His best receivers were Lloyd and Amendola in 6 seasons and his best line man was saffold who was always injured early on. They are both qbs but that's where the similarities stop. Its comparing apples and oranges after that. So I dont think you can logically and fairly compare the two.
Also I would like to apologize for my snarky response to some people's opinions about the matter. We're all Rams fans and that's all that matter in this board.

You’re right Bradford had it bad. So what? Goff had it good for the years you mentioned so what? We can only compare what happened. And again you’re not addressing the injuries that Bradford suffered everywhere he went. Why would they magically stop if he played for McVay? The really unfair part is that you’re downplaying the achievements of Goff based on the shortcomings of Bradfords supporting cast. There’s no need to continuously point out Bradford had bad teammates. Everyone agrees and you’ve established that point you’ve received no pushback on that sentiment. but what does that have to do with Goff? He flat out had a better career for the rams than Bradford by every measurable statistic or accomplishment and that’s not really debatable. People don’t get a pass for their circumstances in terms of all time ranking. When someone asks you in hindsight who was better you have to look at what actually happened not what you think might have happened. You’re type of predictive analysis is more suited towards future players that haven played out their rams career already. Jared Goff was a better rams qb. Did he have a better everything around him? Yes. Does that change anything in terms of how we rank him vs Bradford in all time rams qbs? No.
all things aside even if we wanted to play hypotheticals here (which isn’t answering the question being asked) I don’t think if we put a 24 yr old Bradford on the 18 rams he succeeds I think he plays inconsistent shines a couple games and gets hurt. Just like he did for every single team he played for.

That last paragraph is where we differ. I think Bradford plays better and his career may last a bit longer. If Goff continues in the same system he was thrown into with Fish, I believe the outcome remains consistent through out, which is not good. We'll just have to agree to disagree brother.
The only injury that kept him out of games was the shoulder injury his junior year in 2009.
2010 rookie - was healthy played all 16
2011 had ankle injury that he tried to play through on a very very bad team
2012 - played all 16
2013 - was healthy and playing pretty damn good football up until the cheap shot at carolina.
2014 missed all year because of the knee
The shoulder didn't end his career and he never had an issue with it after 2009. The knee issues started when jeff fisher put him being crap olines and didn't try that hard to improve it til after he was traded. We all saw goff play under fisher and at that point goff had better weapons than bradford did his entire ram career.
If we had a McVay like head coach back in 2010 or 2011 his career would have turned out much different.
