Nice! Columbia has several awesome food spots I've been dying to try. And it's never too late to join the good guys. C'mon, you know you love the black and gold, Loyal.

Actually, my school colors are black and gold! Get my MA next semester from that University, with the mascot in those colors!

Oh, cool! What is your school, Loyal? Was assuming (yes, I know, assuming makes an ass out of me and me) that you were a KU fan like @jakebogen95 , since you're from Kansas, so, my bad.

My school is Emporia State University. But actually, I was born in California and iived there off and on about 18 years. I have lived in Kansas for 23 years, which is hard to believe that it's been that long...

Interesting! I admit that I haven't heard of Emporia State, but it's an interesting story, having moved from Cali to Kansas.

Another one we could add is Henry Ellard. Issac came along and set a pretty high standard, but Henry Ellard- also a second round pick- had alot less talent around him and he was steady as a rock for 10 years. Like Bruce, elite rout runner without all the typical WR diva drama.

Not one vote for Gurley....lol. Even Phillips has a troll vote! I wonder if Gurley had not acted the way he did last year and McVay had run him Into the ground, how many appreciation votes he would have had? Instead, all we have are memories of bad Wendys commercials and him sulking on the sidelines.
Gurley puts things in perspective though eh? Dude was undeniably great, but the knee flaw will keep him from a gold jacket. It's sad, well that and the fact that he may have been a real dickhead behind the scenes.

But honestly even if TG continued to excel long enough to earn a gold jacket he wouldn't be my choice for best pick in the draft. It would still be one of the cornerstone positions (QB, LT, Edge, CB). Doing one of those four roles at the highest level over time is far more valuable than any of these skill position guys, of whom you can find role players to execute well enough to win.

I mean I'm in full Ike HoF mode right now, just thrilled to see him go in. But he's no Pace. Just the way the game is structured.

This is my Ranking:
1. Franchise 3 Tech DT
2. QB
3. Edge
4. WR
I am sure that we all can agree with this! ~ Ghost of Merlin Olsen

I went with Isaac Bruce over Aaron Donald for a couple of reasons.

  1. Isaac Bruce because he was a 2nd round pick, the rest were first round picks, IMO, you have to factor that in.
  2. Also the Rams had a magazine called "Rampage" back in the early 90's you could subscribe to after they moved to St. Louis they ceased publication. Anyway they had a number you could call during the NFL Draft to get some more information on the guy the Rams just drafted and I called that number and the gentleman provided me the information on the Memphis State Product as it was Memphis State back then not just Memphis. Then he added "Most people feel this is a steal." That resonated with me even though I know he just added that for theatrics, but that is why I voted for Ike.
All that plus all he did was make the (high level of difficulty) game winning TD catch in the only Super Bowl the Rams have ever won. And he's a HoFr.

It's Bruce all day.

Man, how can a Rams fan not like Isaac Bruce?
What you said was true concerning the importance of the catch in Super Bowl 34. Although, it would be as forgotten as Warner's TD throw to Larry Fitzgerald in the Cardinals loss to the Steelers several years later in the Super Bowl, if Mike Jones didn't tackle Dyson on the one yard line. Bruce had big season's with bad QB's early in his career, and Aaron Donald was a monster as a rookie on bad Rams teams. If memory serves, Aaron Donald was not a wallflower in our last Super Bowl, and even non-Ram supporters thought we had a Super Bowl defense that day, but our offense sucked (their thoughts, not mine). Yes, Bruce is a HOFer and it was not his fault that it took multiple years with the log jam at WR in voting. Yet, even if there is a log jam at DT when it comes time for AD to be considered, the rest will wait because he is a transcendent player. HE will be a first ballot HOFer. Bank on it, and that's why I voted for him.

c'mon man, face it. I'm not adding Keith Null to the list just so you can vote for him...
