OP was the best LT we've every had and we've had some good lineman!

While I agree here, Rams have had some really good left tackles over the years as Doug France (Ohio State) & Irv Pankey (Penn State) were stellar & you can add Bill Bain (USC) who put in a couple of good years too.

Most dominant player at any position was Lawrence Taylor. The dude was on a whole different level and changed the league.

Others in consideration for me would be Jim Brown (it's like he was playing vs grade schoolers), Bruce Smith (best big man DL I have ever seen when he came out so dominant), and John Elway (the dude dragged the Broncos to two Super Bowls).

I have to go with AD. Unlike Bruce and Pace you can argue that they weren’t even the best at their position at the time they were playing, although I don’t agree. But no one can reasonably argue against Donald being the best at his position.

Do you remember when the Rams had three #1's in 2001? Imagine if those picks were given to Les Snead with Sean McVay as HC. We became so desperate to find an answer at DT, we chose DT Damione Lewis and "Grease" Ryan Pickett, with Adam Archuleta. Pickett was ok, but the DT futility until Michael Brockers and later Aaron Donald was a yearly draft subject here. That's why almost as many fans wanted Suh instead of a potential franchise QB in that draft.

PS: I still think we picked Lewis becuse he resembled Warren Sapp, lol

Donald at pick 13 or Bruce at 33 .... both great picks.

Steven Jackson at pick 24 was good too. 10138 rushing yards.

Bruce at the moment. SB, HOF, 14,109 yards from 942 receptions.

If not Aaron Donald, I'd say the Rams 2nd and 5th round picks in 1999 draft

This one is harder to answer than I thought. Take away Pace, Bruce or Holt away from the 1999 Rams and the journey ends short of the Super Bowl, IMO.

I don't think the Rams are a Super Bowl team in 2018 without AD either. He had 50% of our team's QB sacks that year.

I'll say Pace, slightly ahead of Bruce, slightly ahead of Holt. AD's book is still being written, he very much has a chance to be remembered as the greatest Ram of all time.

Not one vote for Gurley....lol. Even Phillips has a troll vote! I wonder if Gurley had not acted the way he did last year and McVay had run him Into the ground, how many appreciation votes he would have had? Instead, all we have are memories of bad Wendys commercials and him sulking on the sidelines.

I voted Pace. Traded up to #1 to get him and he was everything they expected and more. It took him 2 years to become dominant, but he was a shutdown LT for a good 5 year stretch. Was a monster in the running game too. He was that foundation piece towards a championship squad. Aaron Donald is close though.

You and I remember Orlando Pace much differently. He was a great pass protector but he lacked in the run game. He wasn’t a dominant run blocker at all.

Donald 1st with Bruce a close second. Bruce wasn’t the annual best receiver in the league like Donald is the best DT. But Ike was a second round pick, so value wise he was a great pick.

If Pace was as dominant in the run game as he was in pass pro then I’d put him second. There is no way any of them compare to the sheer dominance of AD at a very difficult position to play. DTs are picked too 3 just like LOTs for a reason.

Put three pass rushers on Pace, or three DBs on Ike and neither can do what AD can in the same situation.

Since it says draft pick, I guess we can’t throw Kurt into this poll.

Dre' Bly and Cameron Spikes?
No, I said The Rams 2nd round and 5th round picks. With those picks, Indianapolis drafted Mike Peterson and Brad Scioli. Bly came as a result of trading Eddie Kennison (Saints pick) and Spikes a result of trading Tony Banks to Baltimore.

Imagine that? Rams traded Kennison, Banks, Peterson and Scioli and ended up with Marshall Faulk and Dre Bly!
