I like Tuli way more than most do. Probably alone on that one and that's fine we all have our favorites.
I’ve watched some highlights. He seems like he has a good motor. I’d be happy with him.
My Day 2 mock with a trade down from #36 to 48 and 81 :

2(48) - DL Adetomiwa Adebawore, N.W. (Part 1 of Detroit trade)
3a(69) - OC/OG Steve Avila, TCU (Ramsey trade)
3b(77) - Edge Derick Hall, Aub.
3c(81) - TE Tucker Kraft, S.D.St.
I like the last three. 36 is high for a raw talent like Adeboware. He could end up like Rochelle
I think you won the day 2 Rams mock draft. Congratulations, there is a beer waiting for you somewhere.

Detroit might do it too as there first two picks were a bit mah...
It seems that trades aren’t a sure thing for Snead anymore. If they traded up I hope it was for a guy like Murphy, and not a guy with an injury like Kincaid
I expect a bunch of trade downs.

Jourdan has repeated one thing a few times; the Rams want as many picks as possible under 150.

We currently have 3.

It will be hard to stomach a trade down at 36, but if the goal is more picks that pick has the most value. Being early day 2, perhaps a tad extra value.
I hope they make the pick at 36. Lots of good players are still on the board. Maybe they do a small trade back only a few spots.
Adetomiwa Adebawore
He’s a raw prospect with great physical traits. That likely means Les loves him. I hope not. The second round is early for a project.

Porter is a good corner. I’m surprised he dropped. I doubt he fits well in a zone scheme. Maybe that is why he is still on the board. A lot of teams are turning to the Fangio defense.

Levis never impressed me at all when he was at PSU. Consider that he couldn’t beat out Sean Clifford. Clifford isn’t even draftable. Kentucky was running a complex scheme that most college teams aren’t equipt to deal with, nor were they familiar with it. So, maybe some of Levis’s success was due to the system he played in.

If the Rams come out of this with two good edge guys by the end of tonight (Hall, Ojulari, tuipolotu) I’d be pretty happy. Ditto for two good corners. I’m still hoping for a stud Olineman like Torrence at 36.

snead has been screwed by every project he has picked.

quick
grob
that te that didn't know how to play football
that centre that was injured and never played a snap for the rams
harris
maybe rochell - still early to determine

anyone else? there must be many others because i can't remember their names.

I’m worn out by all of his projects. I hope he gives that habit up for a few years.

What time does the draft start later, and I don’t want some dodgy US of A time I want BST please?

But just to give you an idea, I believe there is a 5 hour time difference between EST and BST, so I would say around midnight for you

Edit - I looked it up and I was right about the 5 hour time difference.

Tune may be there in the fifth, and could be worth a flyer. But yes, Oline/ Edge/ Secondary are absolutely my priorities as well, with the outside interest in Mayer of he falls to us.
we do need a back up QB, Tune in the 5th sounds about right, and hell, maybe we get lucky.

Go to sleep and read the list tomorrow morning. It’s saves a lot of time. I can’t even make it through round one without falling asleep, and that starts at 8:00 for me.

It sucks waiting around and then being disappointed about the pick. Then I think to myself, “why did I waste my time for that?”

Which one of those players can play OC??
Rams need an OC. It won't matter what they do if they don't wind up with a decent OC for 2023.

Torn between drafting for 24' and beyond or being competitive this yr if possible.

Listening to Kiper bang the table for Levis makes him intriguing. Not because I trust Kiper, but him saying that Levis was essentially surrounded by shit this yr and got banged up and still played, shouldn't hurt his value.

If he is right, and he is being unfairly being hurt by those type of circumstances, then maybe the Rams can get a quality young QB, very cheaply, here at 36.
Levis has plenty of talent, and I'll trust in McVay if he makes the pick. But his film was painful to watch at times. One-speed thrower (no touch) who often was late to see it and didn't have good instincts in the pocket. Rifle for an arm, huge guy, and a good athlete. But the feel/instincts weren't impressive imo.
jrry,
What do you think of Brian Branch? Would you eschew a trade down and take him at 36?

~ArkyRamsFan~
I like him a lot, but I'm not sure he fits our scheme at safety. As a slot CB, he might. But I wouldn't take a slot CB at #36.
Round 2
32. Pittsburgh Steelers from Chicago Bears
33. Arizona Cardinals from Houston Texans
34. Detroit Lions from Arizona Cardinals
35. Indianapolis Colts
36. Los Angeles Rams

None of the teams in front of us need a QB. I have a hard time thinking we go QB but… hmm?

Who trades up to get one in front of us?
Lions could take a QB.
I’m not a big fan of Levis, but if being a project mattered that much, then Richardson wouldn’t be a first round pick either.
Richardson is also 20 years old (nearly 21), a better physical talent, and has a lot less experience, while Levis is 23 years old (nearly 24). And Richardson has shown better instincts, despite his flaws. It's understandable teams would feel more confident in his ability to grow.

I agree that why I like TE Washington from Georgia. Big man who can block and catch everything. He'd be the sixth lineman to help with protection and the running game. I think he'll be there at 36 but is this too early. Well just my two cents.
I wouldn’t be opposed; however, as weak as we are at tackle, we’re even worse in the middle. Logan Bruss may develop, which would be huge, but we still need another guard and a center IMO. Definitely not sexy picks, but the eagles are a prime example of building the lines and doing damage. Teams are getting too talented up front for us to get by with scrubs

My guess with how they will address center is they likely think that they can get one in rounds 4-5-6.

I believe they value intelligence at center over ideal physical traits. Plus they don’t see it as a premiere position like corner or edge.

My guess is that they like Oluwatami for that reason. He’s supposedly the smartest center in the group but he has short arms, which would make him drop. Jourdan mentioned Juice Scruggs from PSU. He is a solid prospect who run and pass block well enough. He’s a team leader and is very smart. I think they go that route.

I’d prefer a stud at center or guard. Take Schmitz or Avila. Some people seem to be connecting the Rams to Tippmann.

Richardson is still a project though. If Lamar Jackson was in this draft I think he’d have been picked ahead of Richardson. Lamar lasted until pick 32. He has similar physical traits as Richardson, with better college tape. Taking Richardson at four is quite the gamble. Then again, so was trading three first round picks for Trey Lance.

you gotta laugh at all the media wetting their pants about the whiners making that move and getting lance.

yet when the rams traded up for goff they mortgaged their future and it was a terrible move.

stupid clowns.

Lamar Jackson is part of the reason why Richardson went as high as he did. Teams recognized they screwed up by letting Lamar fall that far. They were too dug in on what a QB should be rather than what a QB could be.

If you want to understand what the NFL sees in Richardson, it's plays like this one:

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lGr7rRBFrM

His feel and movement in the pocket are highly impressive for a guy who has so little experience, particularly a running QB with so little experience. He has plenty of flaws. But I can understand why the NFL sees them as fixable. The problem with Levis is that he's far older and has far more experience, but he's not on the same level in terms of pocket presence and movement.

Seems Levis is under consideration. Stafford is a little iffy with durability.

i dunno man, he looks like a huge project. everyone was drooling about lance and he flopped so far. richardson is even less experienced isn't he? and has accuracy/mental issues. they have no idea if he'll be any good in the nfl. there was a sneaking suspicion that lamar would be good but teams were too scared to take him high.
