Torn between drafting for 24' and beyond or being competitive this yr if possible.

Listening to Kiper bang the table for Levis makes him intriguing. Not because I trust Kiper, but him saying that Levis was essentially surrounded by shit this yr and got banged up and still played, shouldn't hurt his value.

If he is right, and he is being unfairly being hurt by those type of circumstances, then maybe the Rams can get a quality young QB, very cheaply, here at 36.
I’ve read and heard enough times about how Levis makes too many head scratching decisions, even when he has time in the pocket with open receivers. That makes me think he won’t be able to handle the speed of the NFL.

I hope they don’t pick Hooker, for the same reason.

I’d be e static if they got Shmitz, Mauch, or Torrence somehow. Maybe all of this talk about Hooker, and the Rams being very happy with what they have on the Oline is just a smokescreen.

Otherwise they can still get a good edge or corner with their next two picks.

Brooooo

TE- Mayer
TE- Washington
OG OCyrus Torrence
CB Joey Porter Jr
OT Matt Bergeron

Some good fucking players left!

It could be a gift Levi’s is still there, someone might want to trade up for him.

We got 4 people ahead of us. I feel we trade down. This is going to be interesting

I wouldn't touch Porter, sounds like he was never thought that highly of and poor change of direction skills, really grabbing (penalties) and only strength is in press man coverage... which we don't play.

Just redid my pff mock and I drafted

36: Dawand Jones OT OSU
69: Julius Brents CB Kansas State
77: Derick Hall Edge Auburn

I’d be more than ok with that…

I haven't seen either QB play much other than highlights so I can't say what they should do.

I guess hoping for a small trade down and still getting a top 45 player and an extra early 4th .

4 picks to go. So my list:

S Branch (stud)
CB Porter Jr (big talented corner who plays now)
WR Hyatt (dude is like whack-a-mole he pops up open everywhere)
TE LaPorta (super smooth slot insurance for Kupp)
OLB Tuli (big physical edge and maybe 5T can play all over, AA is similar here in this range as versatile front defender)

IF the Rams take a QB I am fine with it. McVay has the inside line with Levis. Also Hooker would be understandable too. Also taking QB probably means they're worried about Stafford's health. And lastly QB is hard to find so if you think you have one lined up fine.

Kiper is right about him I think. Where Kiper can miss though is the personality side and how he interacts with the team and shit. You gotta have it to you in order to step into an offense of pros who have families and win them over. You can't be some punk shithead. I don't know if he is or not but Coen knows. Which means McVay and the Rams know. So not worried about Levis if he's like that they'll pass.

Sub in Torrence, Avila, or JMS for Jones and I'd be even more alright.

Levis is the Bo Callahan of this draft, clearly

If you think there is truth in this:

Then it looks like we are searching for a weapon (Kincaid is a weapon, not just a TE) and an Edge. We all basically knew that, but, they were willing and trying to trade up for one. Thank god we had no takers honestly. As much as they both are good players, we need more bodies, not less. And yes, you take talent when you can, but, there is a lot of talented players left IMO.

Now that I think about it, both of those guys would have been nice on this team. Murphy is a pretty perfect edge for us. Kincaid though, isn't miles better then LaPorta or Kraft IMO and already has injury issues.

They can still take a shot on Hall or Tune or Haener later too, if they are concerned with backup. Sort of comes down to what they really think about Stafford's health tbh. If they're sweating that then QB is in play.

Foskey or Levis and I'd be happy with either. It will depend upon how much McVay likes Levis. Make no mistake he's a project which is why he's still on the board. Levis is at least a one year project which IMO is why he wasn't taken in the first round.

I'd be surprised if the 49ers don't try to move up to get Levis. Which is why if they don't jump the Rams they should take him at 36 if McVay likes him. Other wise take Foskey at 36 and Tune in the third round if he's still on the board. The Rams need players who can start in 2024 if needed. They don't need more lower picks.

Well IF it's true they were looking at Murphy then I'd assume they're looking hard now at Adebawore and Tuli, both of whom provide similar elements to the defensive front.

And IF it's true they were looking at Kincaid then I'd assume Musgrave (sigh) and LaPorta are in play as both are seam stretchers potentially. Musgrave moreso than LaPorta though he offers some polish to the equation in that slot role.

I feel like Foskey has a decent chance to be there at top of the 3rd. Or Hall, who is pretty similar to Foskey. Ojulari would be my pick if we are going edge at 36.

Tune also would be a big reach in 3rd. At least based on projections.

You really think the whiners are wanting to draft a 4th QB?

Adeb is more of a lineman then an edge, though he is athletic as all hell. Tuli would be a great pick in the 3rd, but, honestly, he could be thought of as a 2nd. Trade down first though please!

And PLEASE no Musgrave. How is your specialty receiving and still get zero stats (not to mention have not power to your game at all)? I'd MUCH rather Washington, LaPorta, or Kraft then the Musgrave.
