And I'm sure Stan knows as he is the business owner in this scenario. I would rather link it to thinking you had a right to know if your counter person at your local McDonalds has had a medical/psychological issue. After all, when it comes down to it, we are customers of the Rams. We consume their product. We don't make their ownership/management decisions.
Not even if we spent time at a Holiday Inn? :laugh2:

We'll just have him work out with Aaron or Big Whit, and the arm will strengthen up in no time! :thumbsup1:

I've been wondering if a QB can work on arm strength. I imagine they (Bennett) could increase the velocity with some form of working out-stretching. Keeping a healthy diet-sleep regimen too. Anyway, a rededicated Bennett should be a better Bennett.

Sorry I have been very nice to Stetson and I wish him all the very best. Maybe he can truly give the Rams a solid backup option. However, I was not convinced of his talent prior to his walking away.

I could throw a football almost 50 yards when I was lifting weights. I had to take about 5 steps forward into it, so not NFL technique, but yes, strength can be improved.

Yes. But what does that have to do with not being told about Bennett? Gonna reverse your bet because the #3 QB, might miss a game?
Do you know or recall who Barret Robbins is? He's the Raider's lineman that spent most of the day before the Super Bowl partying across the border in Tijuana, Mexico and missed playing in the game. Well, he had bipolar disorder (or manic-depressive disorder). What if that's Bennett's condition?

If it was Bennett's condition, for example, would you feel comfortable making a bet on his team, knowing this history of bipolar disorder? What if he has a relapse and is a no show? Is that not a concern at the very least?

Would I lay down a big bet on a game with a QB that has a history of bipolar disorder? Maybe, or maybe not. But, I would like to know ahead of time so I could make that more informed decision.

I think if anything can affect the play of a player, it should be disclosed, whether it's a physical injury or a mental injury, if it has a chance of affecting play.

Do I think every little detail needs to be disclosed? Nope! But, the general condition, Yep!

In another thread (Snead's plan for #2 QB) I said this (tongue in cheek)...

"Yeah, don't want to chance seeing him become the Barret Robbins of backup QBs"

There's a huge difference between backup (or #3 QB in Bennett's case) and starting center!

Really? You're worried our #3 QB isn't gonna be available in a huge game? As if, he was available and was actually needed, we have a fucking chance to win anyway! That's really digging deep there!

You're so lost dude.

I'm talking in GENERALITIES about disclosing issues that may lead to players being taken off the field. Injuries, and injury history is a concern, and I think "in general" a history of mental illness could keep a player off the field and should be disclosed to a certain extent.

So no, I'm not sitting here stressing out of my mind whether or not I should place a bet at the moment because our 3rd qb is all whacked out. I brought up the issue because I would like to know now, and use that piece of info, IF NEEDED, in the future. And apply this to ALL PLAYERS, not just Bennett.

So you want to know Bennett's personal information so you can place bets on it?

Okay, dude. So you want to know EVERY aspect of EVERY player. And use that "if needed"? If needed for what? To bitch or complain if things don't work out?

Good luck with that!

Here's a "generality". Players are human. They all have a possibility they can be taken off the field. The Rams KNOW what Bennett's "issue" is. Let them handle it and stop acting like it's your right to also know.

The Rams have been successful in selecting football smart with a big heart to win. They don't go by just ability.
So maybe this kid will pay off one day even in a trade scenario. He crushed it in Athens with the Dawgs.
