that's fucked up man. it only took a day for other people's misery to become the butt of a joke?

did you post the same things the day after 9/11? or do only american lives matter?

.

Lighten up, dude, and take your moral preening elsewhere. Sometimes humor is the best thing we have to get through moments like this.

Heard they're putting the port officers on house arrest while they investigate. Someone's gonna be in big trouble if its neglect. Even bigger trouble if its intentional.

a little odd that it sat there for 6 years and NOW someone would put it to horrible use like that? especially in a war torn area of the world like that is.

possibly later this year. depends if i have enough vacation days to let it heal properly as i work in a chemical plant and that is a bad mix with new ink healing.
if i do, then it'll probably be another nightmare before xmas character on my left forearm where jack and sally co-habitate, unless i can find someone with the ability to absolutely nail a heath ledger joker.

Yeah you’d probably have to travel to find an artist like that. Wouldn’t be a bad investment of your time to go TO an artist like that either. It’s like going 80 miles out of your way for good Mexican food as opposed to trying to find a joint in your neighborhood that comes close. Most don’t.

I mean, whenever I fly back to the west coast, I ALWAYS go to Uncle Bills Pancake House in Manhattan Beach and have the Expo ‘73 omelette with the pancakes and and order of fresh made muffins to go. To me, best omelette ever. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s my jam

Heard that. I’ll drive 55 minutes up the mountain to get this one burger at a place called The Post 45. It’s a brunch burger with an egg, crisp pork belly, onion rings, ugly ripe tomato and some kind of insane sauce that the chef won’t tell me the secret to. It’s so damn good, and nothing comes close anywhere near here.

By the way very curious why the French President went to visit the day after.

I think it was an accidental blast set off by carelessness, and indifference. It's a tremendous tragedy for those people. Ammonium nitrate was carelessly stored for 6 years. Cameras recorded a fire nearby just prior to the explosion. Ammonium nitrate on it's own wouldn't have caused the explosion. It's used to enhance an explosion but it isn't the explosive without other components like fuel oil.

Ammonium nitrate releases oxygen when it breaks down. That oxygen then will enhance the effect of any combined explosive. In Nam I watched as engineers experimented with a small amount of gas (maybe half a cup) and ammonium nitrate in an aluminum pipe was set off. The pipe was probably 18" long and the explosion was huge and extremely violent. No shrapnel was needed because the concussive force is strong enough to kill. They were thinking about using these cheap devices instead of claymore mines on camp perimeter defenses.

If the ammonium nitrate was stored near diesel fuel drums which is common in a port, then any fire setting off those drums would have set off the ammonium nitrate.

I find nothing to laugh or joke about in the deaths of close to two hundred people. That would be like laughing at the 162,000 Americans who have died from COVID 19.

Explosive experts analyzing the data have basically confirmed it was the ammonium nitrate that Lebonese records confirm was stored there.
