My favorite parts:
The bond between Omar and Whittington
The prayer in the linebacker huddle
Kyren, little boy Ram fan, signing his extension.
Man, if this aint the truth. It's great to see how closely the players and coaches are working together. The entire Rams organization is on the same positive vibe. It's a great time to be a Rams fan.
Demarco noting the smiles going into camp. Boy not in his day. They walked uphill before, during, after camp and on the way home with Vermiel crackin' that whip.![]()
And, although they did it differently, they both have build great locker room culture.Difference in coaching styles for sure. One thing they have in common, both are very effective.
100% agree with one wish (assuming good health):If health goes our way... Watch out NFL. Because this team is indeed loaded.
Really like this staff as well. Leaders and motivators to a man. Gould has helped the Rams to deliver a backfield room that finally might be able to answer the bell in the playoffs and allow Stafford to have a ground game behind him when it matters most. Also was cool to see that Scheelhaus doubles as a camp arm heheh.
Here's to a fast start this year and maybe the Rams being in that mix for home field and a playoff bye.
Corner is definitely the weakness, no doubt. Any game the rush has a down day we are gonna give up points. But maybe one of these dudes steps up.100% agree with one wish (assuming good health):
-Add a CB and/or Edge before the trade deadline to add some juice to the defense for a deep playoff run.
I'm really hoping that it's not as big a weakness as many of us fear... in fact, maybe they'll be fine. And I definitely could see them adding one if the situation is right.. although they're not gonna spend draft capital like they have in the past. It would be a lower pick if they make a trade.Corner is definitely the weakness, no doubt. Any game the rush has a down day we are gonna give up points. But maybe one of these dudes steps up.
I would have had him show me he can hold onto the rock this year, then paid him before the playoffs if that is the case. However I knew they were going to pay him, and I do understand it even though it's not how I would have approached it.You really have to pull for Kyren. The guy handled the contract negotiations perfectly - and I do mean perfectly; he has been a consummate pro; he leads by example; and how much sweeter is it that he is a life long Ram fan.
I'm pretty stoked about this year. Sunday can't get here soon enough.
I get that he fumbled a couple of crucial times in the Beagles game. Believe me. But this narrative that Kyren is a fumbler is a joke. If we are going to do that then let's relook at the "greatest Ram running back ever", Dickerson, who fumbled at triple the rate of Kyren. Literally.I would have had him show me he can hold onto the rock this year, then paid him before the playoffs if that is the case. However I knew they were going to pay him, and I do understand it even though it's not how I would have approached it.
And yeah he's impossible not to root for. I get why they love the player so much and want him around.
