I was hoping he would get a couple of snaps to get his feet wet but I understand why they might want to give him more with the Bye week up next.Inactive today Not a shocker. After the bye!!
Robinson makes an already-deep defensive line even better, likely stepping in for Sebastian Joseph-Day at nose tackle. The Rams will continue to rotate their defensive linemen with Robinson in the mix, getting Morgan Fox and Greg Gaines opportunities, too.Sean McVay says DL A’Shawn Robinson will make his Rams debut this week against the Seahawks.

Woo! is right!! To me this a very big deal. A'Shawn may take a game or so to round back into full playing shape, but imo he will have a big impact on the d-line and the defense as a whole.
Robinson is really strong, really athletic, and has a championship pedigree with Alabama. Though he was picked in the second round he could easily have gone higher. 25 years old and probably has not yet played his best NFL football. Probably a mismatch for o-liners one on one, at least against the run, and is not likely to be pushed out of a play on the line. He will certainly improve the run defense. But he should do more than that.
A few things stand out to me here.
The Rams have several capable mid round linemen who they have developed and who are playing very well. But A'Shawn is a different kind of cat, a guy who has been a physical top of the line talent since he started playing football.
From a power standpoint, the Rams now a have a guy in the middle like Suh who really can't be pushed around much. That means the d-line will have a much greater physical impact on any offense.
From a depth standpoint, the d-line rotation now will be at minimum really deep and could be crazy good. Staley will also now have a big bag to draw from to dial up specific matchups.
A'Shawn is also maybe the very first guy Staley went out and got for his first gig as a defensive coordinator. Staley saw him firsthand in the Central. Staley seems to know what he wants both in terms of the kind of D he is building and the players he needs to make it happen.
Finally, A'Shawn will be playing with AD. Like others he will benefit greatly from this. But seems to me AD will also benefit a lot from having someone who will lock down if not gobble up blockers.
Ok, I admit I'm like a kid with a new toy at Christmas. Nevertheless, to me bringing A'Shawn on board is a very significant step forward for an already outstanding D.
If he is the guy from 2018 we just got a big boost. But going to assume that he works in slow as a rotation piece vs Seattle. Which is a good addition to a front that has been solid.
Good news and maybe the Rams are poised to seize this division at least I hope.

If his pounds are down considerably & I would expect that AR might see more action @ the Brocker's 5 tech post. I have seen SJ-D lining up in the 5 tech with GG @ NT & Fox @ the 3 tech when the DC is giving the two aged vets Brockers & Donald a breather.Definitely the player I'll be watching the most this Sunday. He's kind of a mystery with the apparent weight loss and looking more fit than in his past years. Hopefully that was a choice by design by him and Staley. Hoping he maintains his run defense ability while maybe adding some more quickness to his pass rushing skills being a little more light of foot. We just need one more person who can beat their man on the DL with a little consistency to make this defense lights out.

Brockers has been dealing with an unknown health issue for over a month IMO I think it's a turf toe but there's no info being put out. I base this on the last 4 or 5 wks worth of reported either held out of practice or Brocklers is limited with not related to injury.
Robinson and Fuller returning along with an emerging outside pass rush could be the pieces necessary to take our D from very good to championship caliber.
Ya never know.
Will Rams defense be even better with A’Shawn Robinson added in Week 10?
Wow, getting Robinson's debut and getting Fuller back in the same week is awesome, especially considering the opponent.
This is going to be a great test for our D. I doubt they can completely shut down Seattle's O, but if they can slow them down ... look out.
RAMsey will be key against Metcalf
Probably. But having Fuller on the back end will help - as will having Robinson on the front end.
Very serendipitous timing for Robinson's debut and Fuller's return.
