We are most likely playing Seattle again in 2.5 weeks in the Wild Card round. If we win this week the game would be in LA. I kinda don't wanna give away the farm (Scheme/plays) and won’t be super mad if we lost this weekends game to them as long as we beat them in a couple weeks

This thread should have a marijuana warning. Came in here stoned and think I just melted some synapses man.

Anyway re: Seattle the gameplan doesn't have to be all fancy. Run the ball on them. That's gonna be the game IMO. If they stop it, well, it's your show Jared get us that DUB.

Waiting for what’s new about that?

We will know if we secured a playoff spot by Saturday night. But we still need to win the final game if we want to avoid the 7th seed. I would say the odds are good that we play Seattle the first round. Its just matter of where they play. But its not done deal till its a done deal. If last Sunday taught us anything, it is that.

I just cant understand how the Rams can back into the playoffs if the team behind them in the standings wins a divisional game...but whatever

I think the Rams could possibly throw the Seattle game on purpose. Fekt like they were apathetic vs the Jets. Not a must win. But it is for the Division title.

I'd rather turn it on nowthan try later. What wesaw against the Jets, i neverhope to see again

What do the Rams stand to gain by doing this. There is no assurance they would face Seattle in the playoffs again.

I think it is something like 4/5 scenarios have the Rams facing Seattle again if they make it there

Losing doesn't guarantee health. Only sitting out the game and forfeiting would do that.
Agreed!
Not giving 100% effort in football seems to be more likely to have injury than less
Having 1st game at home has to be top goal, no way they tank a game for better positioning

If the Rams finish 3rd, 5th, 6th or 7th seed then that is four different teams they could face in round 1.

What’s interesting to think about is...

If an asteroid would somehow take out both the Cards, and 49’ers tonight...

The Bears would be in... and losing the 49’ers like that (they are nuked, so no week 17 for them)... the strength of schedule calculation likely puts the Rams in #2 spot, if they win tomorrow.

Come on asteroid!

If the following occurs:

Rams win out - I think on some level were sort of expecting this with McVay being 12-2 against Seattle and AZ

Saints lose to Panthers next week in Carolina - they only beat them 27-24 earlier this year, crazier things have happened

Packers lose to Tennessee and Chicago - Titans can beat anyone and Bears have been hot

We would get the number one seed. Not likely but possible.

I suppose Seattle could still finish in 6th, 3rd or 2nd and would face the Rams in 3 of those 4 scenarios

Unlikely set of combinations, but yeah. This one the most unlikely part of it.

I don't think so. The Packers have beaten up on cupcakes. Everytime they go up against a legit team they struggle. The Bears are playing as well as any team the past few weeks. Thankfully for us if Seattle beats us the Packers will have to win next week to secure home field, so at least we know they'll be trying

Now that AZ lost , what does the playoff picture look like?

Domino one in the crazy set of circumstances that have to happen for us to miss the playoffs:

Domino 2 - Bears beat Jaguars - seems like a lock but there's rooting interest for us in the early games - if the Bears lose we clinch

Domino 3 - we lose to Seattle

Domino 4 - Bears beat Packers

Domino 5 - we lose to Cardinals

Any one of these things NOT happening results in us clinching

I just want to get in. Those were my (big picture)expectations going into the season. Missing out would be a failure IMO.
