ATM fees is another one that started this practice long ago.

The grocery business is currently building loyalty with FREE pick up, which is you order online, the store builds your order and you drive to the store and it’s delivered to your vehicle.

It’s only a matter of time before they slap a fee on that too, and If that service is something that becomes routine for a certain demographic, adding fees won’t chase them away.
That’s already happened in my area. They now charge $5 and it goes on the card so you never notice. Plus people tip the people getting the groceries. That’s crazy. They mess up the orders often. They aren’t underpaid waitresses. Grocery stores here are paying teenagers $12-$18 an hour.

More money for both the NFL and Amazon. Amazon just raised the Prime fee. I don't order that much so I don't have Prime. I guess I can find a replay. They will keep raising the fees.
Unfortunately we order too much on Amazon. It’s cheaper than going out shopping. Plus you can get things that stores don’t carry. It’s become a crutch. My wife hates shopping too. So that doesn’t help. The only things we don’t buy on line are clothes, footwear, and groceries.

I got in just under the wire. It changed like a week after I renewed. But then again, my company pays for it because I mostly use it for business.

You like the service ? Then get the service. There is also a thing called quick check. They have the codes on most produce & saves time not looking the item up. That is free to use.

Ryan Fitzpatrick bringing 'FitzMagic' to Amazon as Thursday Night Football analyst

Ryan Fitzpatrick is bringing "FitzMagic" to the broadcast booth.

The journeyman quarterback – who retired earlier this month following 17 NFL seasons with nine different teams – is joining Amazon Prime Video as an analyst for Thursday Night Football.

“Although my playing career has come to an end, my love for football has not," Fitzpatrick said in a press release on Tuesday. "I’m excited to start this new chapter with Thursday Night Football and looking forward to sharing my unique experiences and perspectives with football fans.”

Fitzpatrick will join Tony Gonzalez and Richard Sherman on Amazon Prime's TNF pregame, halftime and postgame coverage. The 2022 TNF schedule will feature each of the nine teams Fitzpatrick played for during his NFL career: the Rams, Bengals, Bills, Titans, Texans, Jets, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Commodes.

Fitzpatrick played two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams (2005-06) and two with the Cincinnati Bengals (2007-08) before his run as a four-year starter with the Buffalo Bills (2009-13). He spent a season each with the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans before a two-year stint with the New York Jets.

In his final five seasons, Fitzpatrick fought for playing time as a starter while nurturing quarterbacks Jameis Winston in two seasons with the Tampa BP Buccaneers (2017-18) and Tua Tagovailoa in two seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2019-20). His final season, competing with Taylor Heinicke in Washington, was cut short after just one game due to a season-ending hip injury.

“One of the great characters in the league, Ryan has been a fan favorite and a beloved teammate everywhere he’s gone over the last 17 seasons,” said Jared Stacy, Prime Video’s director of Global Live Sports Production. "We’re thrilled to now have him on our Thursday Night Football team and know our viewers will love seeing his sense of humor and intelligence on display every week."

Fitzpatrick, a seventh-round pick out of Harvard by the St. Louis Rams in 2005, confirmed his retirement on June 3 after texting his gratitude to former teammates for "the magical ride." Fitzpatrick ended his career with 34,990 passing yards and 223 passing touchdowns in 166 games played.

Good news! I think he'll be good at tongue-twisting :)

I mentioned this in another thread. Apple seems to have bid $3 billion for Sunday ticket. At least that’s what the guy at the Apple Store said. I think they’re letting their employees know about it because especially in this area there will be a ton of interest in the store if there is a switch to Apple for Sunday ticket. And no company on the planet has more ready cash than Apple. That includes Amazon which is crazy to think about.

Kind bland imo. I love the early 80s MNF theme with Howard Cosell

Back on topic though, if they do decide to start charging for TNF, they’d better strongly consider current Amazon Prime membership to include that.
I already hate besos and that shit bag company. Yes, I use them.... Far too often... But I am going to look into Wal-Mart, as they offer a lot of the same things, sans programming. You know I hate bezos if I consider the Waltons more ethical, haha...

Amazon's Thursday Night Football Ratings Are Plummeting

Amazon has invested a lot in its foray into NFL programming with Thursday Night Football. The company hired an all-star broadcasting team and had a marquee game in Week 2 to launch things. Apparently, it's been all downhill since from a ratings perspective.

According to Nielsen, Amazon Prime scored 13 million viewers for Week 2's contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers. It has mostly been a steady decline since. Ratings bottomed out in Week 7 as 7.8 million viewers turned in for the matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.

That's not great. It doesn't help that the games have largely been awful.

Amazon hired Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit to broadcast games and brought in Kaylee Hartung as a sideline reporter. If that wasn't enough, they've also stocked their pregame coverage with big names. Charissa Thompson hosts, while Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Richard Sherman and Andrew Whitworth are in as analysts.

This has been a big undertaking, so the ratings drop has to be concerning for the company.

Just cause the games have been awful. Like really bad competition. In preseason they looked like they mostly might be great matchups but this has been a weird season. NFL will still blast away ratings of any other thing on tv so it's not like Bezos isn't getting his money worth.
