With regards to Hunter, if McSnead want him (great talent, but they'd have to decide if he's a fit at OLB in our scheme), I don't see it as likely/possible without a trade; he'll command dollars we can't afford as a true FA.

This is why I see Woody as the piece (unfortunately) to make it happen as including him would balance the books for both teams (they get a top flight WR while the Rams pay 8.6 mil of his 15ish million as dead cap), Rams get 7+ million of free cap to take on Hunter. Dealing Van does nothing for either scenario.

I am actually wondering (because Snead does this to me) if we would receive pick(s) back from the Vikes if we include Woods?

If I'm the Vikes and I either get:
- nothing and release him.
- trade him for a 5-7th to a team with cap availability
- trade him and a 5th to the Rams and end up with Woods at 7 million this year

I take the latter.

I'm likely wrong, but that's where I am at right now.

The fact he's produced so incredibly with absolute shit at QB is incredible. Haven't seen anything like it honestly.

I think Holt did something like that on his last few years with the Rams. 1300 yards and 10 TDs with a shell of Bulger, and some crappy backups in and out of the lineup. Great WRs going to produce no matter what.

I'd prefer to trade Jefferson and a 6'th round draft pick for Hunter, and then swap this years 3'rd rounders. If it has to be Woods or nothing, then I'd still want to swap our 2022 3'rd rounders and we'd also receive a 2023 4'th or 5'th rd. draft pick.
jmo.

I would too! I love Woods! But like I said, we'd be on the line for his whole 18 million without any cap relief from Van. If they can make it work via a restructure with Hunter beforehand and it's enough for the Vikes, I like your scenario the best! My guess is we'd have to get Matt or Aaron to sign new details that free up enough space to make that happen ahead of time.

Huge fan of Robinson. You wouldn’t think of him as such because he’s such a big target, but the man is a silky smooth route runner. Given Woods and OBJ’s ACL tears, this is actually a smart and cheap signing.

Yes it is and Minny does not want to pay it may just cut him supposedly. Then everyone is in play I'd rather just give them something to get him.
Agree. open market will probably net another ginormous 5 year $100m /$50m guaranteed contract.

Robinson on my fantasy team 1 year too soon…WTF

Bro tell me about it. Traded for him after week 2 last year expecting him to just start going off. Especially once Fields took over. Then he got covid and literally got phased out of the offense. I was so pissed man I love him as a player. He's going to have 10TDs this year minimum. Him and Stafford in the red zone will be filthy.

This signing makes sense.
With Odell not signed yet and both he and Woods recovering with knees, and no one knowing how long it will take them to get to 100% once they start playing again, McSnead knows a slow start could doom their season in a still tough NFC West.
Going into the season with the same receiving group we saw in the Super Bowl (plus Higbee) would severely limit their chances.
So, they sign Robinson.
A very, very productive player until last year.
As others have pointed out he has largely been productive with below average QB play.
Also, he give Stafford a different kind of target
A big, physical body that can go up and win contested 50/50 throws.
I like this signing......a lot.

Assuming all the WR are healthy and 100%.....
If the Rams go empty backfield....
Is there a better 5 man set than Kupp, Woods, Robinson, Odell, Jefferson....ever?
