Just want to go on a bit more about this move dudes. Pairing this guy with Kupp is so good that I feel right now like we're gonna successfully defend this title. He is going to bring in energy and threat and make this offense a lot more consistent. His fit with Stafford is going to elevate shit.

I can't even imagine if they sign Odell too. For now though I look at this as Odell is probably out, but both Woods and Jefferson (potentially one or the other) are possibly out.

This is a really fucking big signing. I am beyond pumped by this.

Speaking to this signing, there's some risk to it, but it's hard to ignore the incredible things Allen Robinson has done with bad QBs. My biggest question is health. Otherwise, Robinson has the sort of game that ages well. Why? He's a gifted route runner with size, physicality, body control, strong hands, and savvy. He's not a guy who relies on being faster than his opponents to get open. His game should also mesh well with Stafford, who has never shied away from challenging coverage. Robinson is a ball winner. Something we didn't really have, absent OBJ's brief stint here.

Just thinking aloud but maybe obj isn't signed yet also because then the Rams would lose some leverage as well. Teams would know there most definitely aren't enough footballs for those type of ball dominant receivers. If they sign obj now let's face it teams will low-ball the Rams til no end. Woods kupp Arob then Obj comes in mid season plus the youngsters.

Some people saying connect the dots how woods and hunter match up if we convert hunter to bonus etc. And McConnell knows and loves woods however he could also love Jefferson.

There is even talk they may cut hunter before Sunday to not pay that 18 million so might not take a lot.

Yeah, trading for Hunter makes no sense. The Vikes wouldn't want to do it for a 7th and there's really no reason offer more with the bonus situation.

Offering someone like Woods makes no sense at all seeing as we could potentially get Hunter for no comp beyond a contract

I like it. We saw in the super bowl how thin we were at WR. I like OBJ, but his knee could be a big issue. Plus Woods is coming off an ACL.
Big target that will give up and high point the ball. Jefferson just doesn’t impress me at all.

He'd most definitely get more on the open market. So I can see it making sense for us money wise.

Grabbed a key quote from that article;

If we are simply connecting dots, it should be noted that the Minnesota Vikings are also looking to offload pass-rusher Danielle Hunter, because they can’t fit his $18 million roster bonus under their salary cap before a quickly approaching due date. While it’s hard to imagine a captain and beloved leader such as Woods being a trade candidate, the facts that former offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell is now the head coach in Minnesota (and his offensive coordinator is former tight ends coach Wes Phillips) and Woods’ contract clears about $13.5 million with a post-June 1 trade designation, means such a move is something both teams may consider opening dialogue about. Woods is expected to return to full health around that time, after tearing his ACL last November. If the Rams could convert part of Hunter’s salary into a signing bonus (as much as $13.5 million can be converted), and balance that amount out with the space then available via a Woods designation, they could potentially pay sub-$8 million for a top pass-rusher in 2022 after losing out on Miller, when the annual spreadsheet ultimately shakes out.
I found this interesting, so I checked; and it looks like the Hunter bonus is due on Sunday (March 20th).

Yes it is and Minny does not want to pay it may just cut him supposedly. Then everyone is in play I'd rather just give them something to get him.

That's how I feel. Give up something, anything to keep him off the open market.

That is, if the Rams are even interested in him. Which there's a real chance they aren't.

Jourdan sea to think so unless I'm not reading the tea leaves but she seems to elude to or know something else is about to happen. Typically I'd say big deal we all know something about to go down but she is great she is reputable always asks the tough questions and maybe there is some stuff she is hearing frame work to something larger.

She certainly has had a few cryptic tweets. It's probably for someone not even known to be available. Haha.

If I am AD what is he thinking?

If AD were to take a mature ultra-high overview portrait of what an offensive AR addition means to this offense & to our HC he might be somewhat close to euphoria. The now well past Von Miller saga is now beyond "The End" & the curtains have drawn closed. All healthy top-tier OLB'er pass rushers are signed. Same for the DL UFA's. What is left ....full of questions & big gambles @big $$$ costs.

It was obvious yesterday morning that the offensive side still had some very outstanding gems worthy of centering in on for strong considerations & AR fits that!

It's a strong likelihood that McVay can fully utilize this new investment on the offensive side to thrust his 2022 overall team nicely than what was still on the FA shelf on the defensive front five side.

Just a great use of priceless cap funds which is Snead smart! What is the value of keeping the amazing McVay interested & rejuvenated which is paramount to this team from this point on. Snead certainly can move into heavy defense mode in his upcoming draft to try to overcome the loss of pass rush pressure from the departure of Von Miller.

With an offense that is ferocious in the quick high scoring passing game, opponents will be emerged in playing catch-up. Forced into throwing their running game in the trash can & placing their QB into AD's wheelhouse!:hush:
