Nobody on the Saints defense is better than AD, and pardon me if my post implied that. AD is one of the top 2 defensive players in football.

If we are talking units as opposed to individuals
QB- Saints
RB- Saints
WR- Rams
TE- Push
Oline- Push
DLine- Saints
LB- Saints
DBs- Rams
ST- Push
Wow now that is delusional

RB Saints- yeah okay (to be read in a silly voice)
OL - Push, riiiiiiiiight! (To Quote Earl Shieb)
DL - Saints?? Lol, that’s just downright ridiculous

I’ll sorta agree to everything else ‘cept not sure STs are a push... nice gaaak by Lutz when he needed clutch last game

You said "slightly better across the board" which implies at all positions or, at the very least, at every position group. Neither of those are true.

The Cowboys shut us down in their house. And the refs missed 2 helmet to helmet hits that would have put the Saints in fg range to tie the game in the 4th.
Kind of like the bad spot on the fake punt, by Johnny Hekker. Even after the replay showed it to be a 1st down.
The Saints won the 1st half of our game earlier this season. The Rams still almost pulled it out.

I never said individually the Saints were better across the board, however as units...yeah, we are slightly better.

RB- I need a larger sample size from CJ before I am willing to say that your duo is better than ours. It’s a push for now.

OL is a definite push, and if not, I am open to finding out how. Your oline gave up 33 sacks this season to the Saints 19.

You guys have guys like AD, Suh, and Fowler on defense, and they showed up last week, but 1 week is a small sample size when since Fowler arrived they have been very meh. Meanwhile in New Orleans (even without Rankins) you have Jordan, Onyemata, Davison, Okafor, and Davenport It’s the Saints vs Rams WR situation. We have MT but besides him there is nobody causing you to shake in your shoes, meanwhile the Rams have Cooks, Woods, & Reynolds.

Yeah, thanks goodness Marcus Peterson isn’t Patrick Peterson.

Look for the Saints to get MT on MP ever chance they can.

I don’t think it’s over, heck I think it’s going to come down to a final fg from either Lutz or GZ. I think 3.5 gives you an idea of how close a game this will be.

RB is a push?
Kamara & Ingram 27 combined reg season games + 2 playoff game they combined for 2573 yards and 25 TD

Gurley & Anderson (as a Ram) 16 combined reg season games + 2 playoff game they combined for 2387 yards and 26 TD
Gurley’s high school coach said, in a great article this week in the Washington Post, that he knew back then that Gurley would either be an NFL Hall of Famer or the Olympic high hurdles champion. Athleticism just off the charts. Gurley is the best RB in the NFL and barring injury will be a Hall of Famer.

@El caliente this is what across the board means. Neither team has sightly better payers across the board. It's a mix.

It's not about during the season. It's about the playoffs and the month leading up to them. The Saints OLine has had some injuries and wasn't as good as it was most of the season. Goff got pressured once against the Cowboys, and they have a good pass rush. The Rams put up 273 yards on the Cowboys. That's a team that beat the Saints, even if the score was only a field goal apart. The Rams/Cowboys game was never close. The Rams allowed points playing a prevent style in the second half and letting the Cowboys chew up clock.

Reynolds is not good, and Ginn blows him away. That said Reynie boy is in the rhtymn, while Ginn is getting it all back together. IF Ginn has a big day,Saint probably win. He has speed that can't be denied. Sheilds can handle Ginn, but no other Ram DB has a chance against him on crossing routes.

Rams O line, right now, is so healthy that we have a chance to control the game. In the first game Goff had his time, but there was no Davenport (but now Rankins is out).

My ultra simple analysis:
This is an incredibly even matchup. As usual the QB play is the difference..and Brees, mr small hofer, will probably win the game. If Goff plays like he did weeks 3-11, Rams can easily win because Saints DBs give up 8+ ypa....that is bad......while Brees, the master dinker, can give a death by 1,000 cuts.--and that works when the Saints run well, and Brees has throwing lanes. Wade knows this, and that is where the chess starts. IF, IF, IF the Rams stop the run early in the game, that might get the Rams to +3 a the half....and then the coaching comes. THe QB who plays well enough, with the better coaching wins (see the Rams-Dallas game).

If we had Kupp, I would say Rams will win; but, without him out I can't say that. However, overall,I do think the Rams are the better team because they can control with short, medium and long passing game....while Brees can't dominated at 40+ yards down the field without a perfect pocket.....ahhhh, what do I know....I'm a Greg Robinson fan. So, a nod without the wink goes to the Saints....that's why they play.

Lastly Character and intelligence: Brees is the master....Whit, Gurley, AD and Goff aren't far behind...in these games it can matter.

Is anyone else concerned about the noise in the Dome? Last week the noise could be attributed to 2 false starts and 2 time outs.

Do you think Goff and McVay have their communication figured out so that they don’t succumb to the same fate as the Eagles and their Super Bowl winning coach and qb?

We put 35 points on yall last time we played don't think the noise bothered them too much good try tho.

We will see how it plays out. Yeah, MP hasn't had the best year, but he is still talented. I'm thinking this game means a LOT to him... so, be careful what you wish for.
