Just guessing here but if it were something driving think we would know as well.

I wonder if it is an in house behavioral type of issue.

Right. Any vehicle matter ending in an arrest would be a matter of public record. We’d know.

It’s not dope or PEDs because then his suspension would fall under that category.

Domestic battery? Two games won’t cut it anymore.

What’s left? Altercations or weapons incidents NOT ending in an arrest? Sexual harassment or bullying in the workplace? Mistreatment of animals? Profane and sexually explicit graffiti in the opposition’s locker room?

Maybe he was the guy who kept pissing on the toilet seats? Doncha just hate those animals?

My memory of Boom is that he did ok against average DE's/LB's, but got toasted by great ones. Add to that his injury history when we absolutely needed him to play and couldn't, was a reason why McSnead went out and got Big Whit.

???

They signed whit in 2017.

They drafted noteboom in 2018.

Saw a bunch of these today - they all had no explanation of reasoning for suspension.

If it's something crime related - crimes are typically public records and someone will find out exactly what happened.

"He bet' not!" ~ @Memento

We'll see. I'm very disappointed, though, and it makes me not want them to re-sign him and just...well, fuck. We really don't have many options. We have to get a potential backup quarterback, a left tackle, one or two corners, maybe a wide receiver, maybe even another inside linebacker all next year.

I'm just so disappointed in A-Jax's decision, whatever it may have been.

I recall he missed at least one game late last season (Giants game maybe) due to personal reasons although he may have been injured as well.

I don't believe suspended players count against the 53-man roster limit.

So, the Rams could temporarily avoid one difficult roster cut; and hold onto an extra OL (Bruss), WR (Smith and/or Johnson), LB (Speights and Hummel, plus Reeder) or other position.

Hey, I am trying to look on the bright side.
Yeah, it opens up a roster spot. So they will have two spots open with him and Jimmy G being suspended.

Correct on Boom’s defects but we were rescued by Jackson who has looked bonified just not at a probowl level. It’s a blow but far from reviverablev

I will hold my sentiments until after the Lions game.
Telling the truth as you see it is not trashing Boom and that opinion was built over the course of years. McVay loves the guy or else he would have been gone years ago.

This just cost him a boatload of money as someone the Rams can depend on to protect Stafford's blindside. I only hope this was some PED issue and not some gambling, illicit drugs, or prostitutes okay maybe prostitutes would not be that bad.
Nah this is personal conduct so something other than drugs. They'll say he violated the drug or PED policy like when Garopolo got suspended.

It’s also a shame that Alaric won’t be dressed when the Rams undress the Kneecaps in week one.

The concern for me is now Note steps in, a guy who was given every chance to win that spot and couldn't. It is the most important position concerning protecting our QB also Note has had durability issues. Note has the ability to bridge the gap but it is a concern, a couple of whiffs and Matthew is playing hurt or worse

The Rams' Alaric Jackson (77) will not be blocking in the first two games because of a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. (Terrance Williams / Associated Press)

New Personal Conduct Policy opens the door to discipline for pre-NFL misconduct

This could go back to college conduct. It seems like a broad-range of actions that resulted in his suspension. It would be nice to know as a fan what it is. Considering it's only 2 games it seems more on the milder side of misconduct.

Zay Jones Cardinals just got 5 games.

Way to fail. Epic fail trying to secure a long term deal and you do something to earn this? At first glance obviously very disappointing.
The Rams knew about this for a long time, the length of investigation anyway, Im sure.
